Nice little campground with fire pits, picnic tables and a shelter with wood stove.
The sites are not for big RVs and look a bit uneven but not bad. The place is really beautiful, you can easily access the lake and have a nice view!
When we stayed there, a train past 2 times during the night on the really close train tracks and it was loud! Bring earplugs
It’s 20$ for RV and 10$ for tent.
We don't have any photos of this place yet.

2 trains during the night as the other person said: loud is right! BF said I slept through the first one 😳 Also, on using the toilet this morning, I’d say it was very clean! 💫 Overall I’d say it was a great stay for a good sleep.
This is more like a community park for picnicking, but there are marked sites with tables and fire pits. It is VERY rustic and worn down. There is a pit toilet (clean-ish) at the entrance. We choose site 15 which is a large pull through with tiny peeks of Slave Lake through the trees, shade and lots of trees and bushes for privacy, although we are the only ones here! The sites are large but none are close to level. There is no water, nor trash bins. The tables are old moss covered wooden ones. If you want a better night’s stay with amenities, continue down the dirt/gravel road a little further East, to where the Marina is. That is the real Canyon Creek CG. There is a decent two track you can follow down to the lake shore (walking) from this CG. It is quite buggy with lots of gnats and mosquitoes so I’d say not a great place to hang out. This is an okay spot for a sleep-over as you can hear the waves lapping on the lake. There are train tracks that you cross over turning into this CG, but we’ve been here 5 hours and haven’t had one pass by yet. Fingers crossed!
Report Check-InNice minimalist campground. We were the only people here. Have to go to marina area east campground for water and modern washrooms. Only portable restrooms at this western site. We found a site that had a tiny view to the lake. Nice receptionist. Have to call a number to ask about camping and then go to office to check in though they did offer to send someone down if we had cash. $25 CAN plus tax.
