Coming from south it is the first big supermarket in Chile. By far not a real hipermercado in US dimensions, but good to supply up. Great selection and quality of fruits and vegetables. Prices are high as everywhere in Chile.

Hiper Patagónico is the closest you’re going to get to a real hipermercado. It’s a good size, but not a real hipermercado. You should find pretty much anything you need. The parking lot is a good size and will fit big rigs.

If a (Chilean) supermarket stocks 100% peanut butter I’m a customer for life. Also, there is a great little fish store across the street for fresh and frozen fish and “pan de luche” (blocks of sea lettuce).

Not a true hipermarket, however they have a big enough selection to get whatever you need. More important, they have parking for big rigs.
