We made a mistake when we did not look up any info before coming here and when said mummies, we expected some ancient historical ones. Well we were wrong. The place still is interesting, but we did not expect mummies of people burried in 1903 and exhumed 1906. Also, there is very little information about what are you actualy looking at, no explanation about the process of mummification or other scientific details. We expected more from 92 mxn pp museum. Disappointing and overpriced.

the prices went up but still worth it. we walked from the campside. there was a big line (we came in Sunday) but it went really fast.

Open during covid. Temperature check and hand sanitizer at the door.

Entry is 63 pesos for the mummy museum, 17 pesos for the museum of death. 23 pesos to take pictures. Students, seniors, and locals pay different prices.

I recommend skipping the museum of death. It's just a hallway with some silly props.

$85p/adult, posted $30p/camera but everyone was taking pictures as were we and no one cared. $10p/ hr parking ($14/hr for our Sprinter van) $6p bathrooms. Plenty of parking, maybe 35 places. We parked a 6 minute walk away (and up steep steps) at estacionamiento de ferrocarril for the same price.
