Next to California State Prison, a number of homeless encampments and has rats that have infested various sites. Careful who you park next to! I had to be towed out of the sand north of here along the river after running from rodents in the middle of the night. One BLM road near here was closed off by RV's and people who looked like they had been there for a while, and the place had trash as well as burned out trailers. Downriver out of town is better along Oxbow Road, but some sites still have the same problem with rodents and trash.
