Something not right?

Description

Fabulously beautiful national park and small, rustic campground overlooking a lake. Guarded and gated at night. Lakes, small restaurants nearby, hiking and horseback riding. You are camping in the mountains and it’s cold so bring warm clothes. The drive is on a slow, winding mountain road but we saw big trucks and buses so I guess big rigs can drive it, but I’m not sure about that.

Report Check-In

It's closed at the moment. Don't know because of covid or seson closing.

Report Check-In

still closed for covid
steep road!! : the road in the mountain is doable. but be aware that from Cuernavaca to Huitzilac is just a horrible steep straight road. so don't go there with a week engine or with a heavy loaded motorhome (full of water and gasoline).

Report Check-In

While my visit at the place, the WC were without water. I used my porta poti.

Report Check-In

Nice overnight place, but no ‘must see’. The other lake is at walking distance. This is more a local ‘day use’ place, crowded during the weekend. Boats and horses available for rental. With small restaurants and pick-nick places. We stayed 2 nights. Although there was announced an entrance fee of 23 MXN per person per day, nobody there to pay to. Friendly guards at night!
