Australia
Campsite in Snowy River National Park, a few minutes walking from the Snowy River. Two longdrop toilets, no other facilities. Grassy terrain surrounded by trees, few shady places. When we visited in the peak season it became really full with eventually 29 cars and many tents; be early for a good spot! Good but narrow gravel access road (traffic in the opposite direction can be challenging). Park access and campground are free. Limited Telstra reception. The first river access leads to a point with lots of boulders and a strong current. If you continue walking along the river for a few hundred meters you arrive at a small beach and a sandy river access without current. One walk of about 1.5 km starting at the campground can be made. It is best to walk clockwise: the path is a little overgrown for a small section in the middle and you may miss it when walking counterclockwise.
