There was a sign along highway 23 indicating a picnick/recreation area. Looking at the amount of trash laying around, it is probably a popular weekend spot, but today it was very quiet.
there is plenty room to park, but the access road(s) are narrow dirt tracks; maybe not too suitable for big riggs.
We would pick this as an overnight place if we would have come by here in the evening.

It is a beautiful place. But there is a lot of garbage. Very very much garbage. The military came to patrol in the evening.
For one night - okay.
Place is as described. We picked up a full bag of garbage so it’s cleaner for the next person. If each iOverlander visitor did this it would be clean in no time!
We cleaned our area then had a really lovely night. Super quiet
Now we just need to find a garbage can to ditch this bag of rubbish.
Idyllic if it were not for the garbage left everywhere. But it is a good spot to spend a few nights in the area.
Report Check-InExactly as described. Arrived on a Monday evening and there were a fair number of families and couples enjoying the area. Everyone was very friendly. Enjoyed a good quiet sleep and was out of there early the next morning.
