Something not right?

Description

Many pullouts in this large national forest. Going from west to east I found a nice spot at FS road 304 and FS48. Free... and good ATT Tmobile signal.

Latest Check-Ins

This is a pretty nice campsite just as a pull off from the road that brings you in. Heard a few OHVs in the mid/late afternoon, but it has been quiet and no one around since. Right next to a trailhead for a portion of the Ouachita Trail and there is a picnic table right near the trail also.

Report Check-In

Good spot for the night, though technically right next to a trailhead. It does have a fire ring, and according to the Motor Vehicle Use Map, it’s designated as a deer prep area, though the forest website says it allows dispersed camping at spots with fire rings. Only two trucks came by in the morning. The road is narrow, but it’s well-maintained. My Prius I car camp in made it through just fine. There was a small creek crossing, but it wasn’t deep at this point.

there were people at this spot when I got here but I kept going straight a little up the mountain and found another spot on the left hand side. it has a fire pit and logs to sit on. great view when hiking up the dirt road. quite spot at night. but atvs can be heard during the day.

quiet and fairly remote. sign at the bottom said "log trucks', but I've seen nothing at all. I have great Verizon service. trails nearby to explore. awesome location.

Beautiful, peaceful spot to spend the night. The road is dirt, somewhat narrow, and has a fair incline in places, but I had no issue getting my shuttle bus up and down. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful quiet spot! Right on a great walking trail too. Birds are singing, sun shining through the trees, perfect spot to decompress after a long drive. Road coming in is narrow with deep ditches on either side so fingers crossed you don't meet anyone coming or going! Excellent Verizon signal.

Nice spot!! Paved road for any rig. Only bad thing was lots of bugs but were here in the middle of summer. Was surprised it was even hot during the night. Fire pit. Other pull offs. Free. Middle of forest!! Not a soul in sight.
