Description

Follow the road on GoogleMaps to find this place. When you reach the beach, there is a big flat spot to park your car. However, it’s way less buisy if you continue to follow the road to the right. You can park easily behind the Hindu shrine and will be left alone for most of the time.

The beach itself is a dream of a place. Big, wide sand area with mango and coconut plantations behind it. Most of the day nobody is around, just for sunset some very friendly villagers are joining you. There is also the possibility to stay at a cottage right at the cliff with a view above the whole coastline. It should be very cheap and can be found on AirBnB, yet we didn’t try it. We stayed for 5 nights and had no problems. You should buy groceries beforehand, as the next good village is 20 km away.

PARADISE! By far, the best place we have been to so far in India! We stayed for 5 days and had the beach to ourselves. Some days at dusk local fishermen came but no one has said anything to us, they have only greeted us friendly, a fisherman even gave us fish several mornings. The beach is quite clean by Indian standards. Nice secluded beach to cool off, sea breeze, starry sky, bonfire... you couldn't ask for more!

This is really a dream beach. Not many people and nobody bothered us.
In the morning Mario, the owner of the property, came by and we had a nice talk. He told us that we could stay even a day longer.
So Overlanders, please be aware of the fact, that the terrain between the sea and the house on the hill is private land. So please behave adequately!

Great place to relax. Quiet and only once per day someone talked to us. Nothing else to add, just that it is a bit difficult to get a good or any phone signal.
In the next town Devgad (15km away) are several small shops and vegetable sellers. At the HP gas station we also filled up water (Not filtered, black pipe on the right wall)

We checked some of the different Ioverlander spots in the area. This is definitely the cleanest and best for wild camping.

Beautiful beach with some rocks at both ends. Sand even at high tide. Not a lot of people around only a few friendly locals fishing or taking a walk.
Some work where the road meets the beginning of the beach. But not a lot of activity and no noise.

Instead of driving right to the spot on the photos we drove left up on an area with a bit of vegetation. (You have to pass some soft sand.) Here we parked in front of a small ruined house. Here you have a small group of trees to your right to hide behind. Only room for smaller vans.

The place on the picture is also nice just a bit to windy when we came.

Beautiful! Apt name. We had the beach mostly to ourselves. Sometimes villagers visited and were all very friendly and surprised we found this beach.
Police visited with stern faces to check passports and take pictures, but said it was no problem we stayed.
Loads of dolphins swimming back and forth just offshore.
