Argentina
Careful : sometimes no fuel at all !
After or before Tres Lagos. Small petrol station. Direction El Chalten. You can park. surrounded by trees. you can escape from wind a little. More expensive than in El Chaltén. (With a 3m canopy- use other pump)
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Passamos hoje 17/04/2024 e não há diesel para abastecer.
@aquira_e_lebron
Had gas, 1100pesos per liter for super+. Much more expensive than the first gas station further north (680p/L today). No problem to pay by card.
Report Check-InToday there is also no gasoline. Try to not rely on this fuel station but tank somewhere else along the route.
Report Check-InNo fuel as of today
Lady who owns the station told me that there is someone in town who has gas for sale. I had just enough to make it to El Chalten so did not check
The gasoline station was here, looking pretty good and open but no-one was here and no petrol
Be careful if you need petrol
Out of gas today. Locals sell some in town for five times more the usual price. Better to make it to El Chalten or Gobernador Gregores.
Report Check-InPrivat gas station, today 15 liter diesel/gasoil max per car.
Report Check-InNo diesel, only gasolina, be careful to anticipate to el Chalten or gobernador
Pas de diesel, seulement de l' essence, attention prévoir de faire le plein à el Chalten ou gobernador !
Report Check-InThey accept card now and we showered for 500pesos/person. Hot shower
Report Check-InWe got there at 4:30 pm and they were out of gas. If you're coming from Perito Moreno, be sure to top up in Bajo Caracoles. Found out later our friends had been there an hour before and got the absolute last of it. There are bathrooms but they're pretty gross.
Report Check-InFuel availabile today, expensive but no other options. Helpful staff. Cash only.
Report Check-InCash only. High priced. Low cover (tall rigs be cautious) You can approach from the side or possibly use other pump.
Trees. Dust. The usual.
better than expected, quite friendly and they take good care of people travelling, camping ground with trees bext to the station. gas a bit expensive but ok, showers for 200, nice empanadas :)
Report Check-InOnly option between El Chalten and GGregores. Expensive gas (1700ars)
Shower possible (200 Ars !!) but dirty and not working properly. Better option in El Chalten.
No gas yesterday and today! Next petrolstation is in El Chalten or Gobernarde Gregores.
Report Check-InWe were in a bind having only USD and card. She gladly accepted our pretty USD bills so we could fill up enough to get to El Chalten. Of course, we didn’t receive the greatest exchange rate (220 arg: 1 usd), but we were relieved to be able to pay with USD!
Report Check-InA little expensive, would better fuel in G. Gregores or El chaiten. Wifi was working slow.
Report Check-InPrice is 64$ a liter right now for super at least. Only took some coffee. Toilets are terrible!
Report Check-InIt is really expensive here! 64Pesos per liter. But if you dont want to wait in el chalten is that the best option.
Report Check-InExpensive petrol station. We didn't used it. For Diesel and Gasoline the same price. 60 ARG $ / Liter.
Report Check-InSmall basic gas station, super+ 95 was 25% more expensive than what we paid in el calafate (52 vs. 40 ARS/liter), payment only in cash. Friendly staff, they have coffee and some snacks there, dirthy bathrooms without toilet paper.
Report Check-InNobody was there (it was 8:30 am)... We heard some from inside but no one opended...
Report Check-InMuch more expensive than in El Chaltén. 43/liter instead of 32/liter. Is open until 10pm.
Report Check-InOnly accepting cash and will charge a ridiculous exchange rate if you haven’t changed your Chilean pesos into Argentinian before you get here. Like 3 times the price of the tank. We narrowly escaped a catastrophe by exchanging with some other travellers heading into Chile.
Report Check-Insmall petrol station. Direction en chalten. can Park. surrounded by trees si can escape from wind a little
