Slept here one night, 3 campervans on the part with the trees and 10 on the parking next to excursions offices.
quiet, a bit of wind shelter next to the trees.

police were here all evening and night, they saw everyone clearly but did not come to us. other campers told one policeman said it was allowed, and another said it was not allowed a few day before.

In short, no problem here !

Report Check-In

There is a lot of space to park and sleep, as other comment says, you cannot “camp” with your tent but RVs, motorhomes or sleeping in your car is allow, I check with the cops and its ok.

Report Check-In

not possible to stay hère. we did 1 night and After got kick out by coastal guard and the army. has it close to the shore, it is not cop issue if you park here.

lot of people Park here but one day they will give fines for sure if you do not respect the law (forbidden to sleep close to the shore).

if you sleep here, be sure to be wind protected by the trees

Report Check-In

Very nice place next to the lake, you have to check where to park, there are places where parking or sleeping is not allowed and other sectors of the beach

Before arrivel we have not seen the sign but the police was driving around and in the part towards the little „adventure-selling-houses“ they obviously accept many motorhomes. Beautiful place, we spent 3 nights there. To empty out our toilet we asked at the little museum with public toilets and paid 500 pesos.

Lugar lindo y tranquilo para pasar la noche

Beautiful and quiet place to spend night

Report Check-In

We stayed here for one night before visiting the Marble Caves - absolute must, but use a kayak and not a boat!
It does say no camping, however judging from the large amount of campers and tents in this area when we stayed I doubt anyone really cares. If you arrive early you may be able to get a space next to the trees for some wind protection as it can get a little windy.
There is 4g for Entel, however it didn't work very well for us. No Claro signal (obviously!)

Report Check-In

there is a sign stating that camping is prohibited even with motorhome and RV. I uploaded a photo.

Report Check-In

I don't understand why it was signed in like closed. we and other campervan stayed for the night here. there are trees and you are face to the lake and moutains very beautiful. very quiet but still as everywhere: windy.
please keep this place clean :)
plus: you are just next to the start point for expedition like marmol
very good signal

Stayed here for almost a week, since this place has everything you need. It's close to town to resupply, COPEC with toilets (250$) just across the main road, wind shelter from the trees, a water tap that runs from the rivers water (can be dirty depending on rain and river state itself), locals are super friendly, plenty of dogs to play with. Try the fruteria in town for fresh made buns. Fine for tents, vans and big rigs. Police was fine with us staying at the beach. Because of Corona we have been asked to leave at some point. Seem like there was one grumpy scared old man who didn't want foreigners to stay...Once things are back to normal a great place to stay!

Report Check-In

next to the beach, a lot of other cars but quiet, very windy

Report Check-In

Very nice spot on the beach, also windy but ok. You do hear the noise from the street, also at night. A lot of other iOverlanders with a good vibe. We spend one night and had no issues with the police. In the morning they passed us by car and didn’t say anything. We are staying another night, hopefully without any problems.

Report Check-In

stayed here the night and a few other vehicles showed up as well.
it's a gorgeous view beside an astonishing lake.
far enough from the road to not be affected by the dust.
pretty windy for those camping though.

I guess they sort of tolerate it at night, we had our tent and the car next to it among 5 other tents. A friendly teenage cop on a bike asked us in the morning to please move the car up to the parking lot and take the tent down. Accomodation books out very quickly here in high season, even camp sides that turn into tent cities. This place is much nicer, but if you need a hot a shower the campsite already charge you 2500 for only that and a night is 5000pp.

Report Check-In

I was just sitting next to this spot and somebody had pitched their tent here and the police was patrolling and was looking for the owner of the tent. So maybe not the best spot for Wildcamping with a tent ;)

Report Check-In

A beautiful and quiet place below the trees, with view to the lake and kind of protected from the wind.
Nice place to stay, if you are planning to do or have done the excursion to Capillas de Marmol or the glacier, as it's very close to the excursion operators' offices.

Report Check-In

Quiet. 4/5 other campers on cars, no tents.
Noone bothered us.
Good 4G from Entel.

Report Check-In

Great spot but police kindly asked us and everyone else to camp next to the river the next morning. Water and toilets from copec. Toilets 250 pesos. Shower at La Peninsula camping site for 2000 pesos per person, pretty expensive, Fauna Patagonia is 1000 pesos but we did not find it.

Report Check-In

Perfect place at the beach. Protected from the wind by the trees.

Report Check-In

We stayed directly at the beach next to the trees. With us stayed 6 other overlanders.

Report Check-In

DID NOT STAY HERE
We asked the Police and they said there is no camping allowed on this side of the river.
we walked around and found a much better spot across the small river, just near the small cemetery on the south side of town.

Report Check-In

Flat camping spot in the grass, just a few meters away from the beach. Very quiet when we were there, probably because there was a lot of wind
