Mexico
Awesome camping, great views of the Milky Way, the moon rising. Nice bodyboarding waves.
Established fire pits, bring your own wood, there are no bathrooms or showers, the town is a 20 minute drive away, great little bar also, Coyote Calls
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Stayed here for 2 nights. Pedro was not around, just a guy named Ramon. a couple of cars came and pitched a tent for a night or two also.
Ok for 2wd BUT seems to get ugly if it rains too much.
The place is beautiful and very secluded unlike the other nearby spots on ioverlander that are right next to the road.
Report Check-InArrived here but only found the fishermen that seemed to camp here. They were extremely kind (helped tow our van out of the sand!) and assured us we could camp there. We tried several times to offer them money to stay but they refused it. Seems fine to camp here, but the previous descriptions of established fire pits didn't match up with what we saw. Beautiful place otherwise, felt very safe. But don't do what we did and try to drive down to the beach unless you have a 4wd (AWD didn't cut it).
Report Check-InNo fire pits, no one here to take money. We asked if we could pay and they said no. Lovely beach with crabs, tide pools, and a shark!
Report Check-InPedro is awesome and fun to chat with, though a bit hard to understand. Beautiful campsite and sunsets. Fun place to romp around and explore. Wasn’t too busy. Simple site, bring your own TP.
Report Check-InHighly recommend for a beautiful beach camp and surf, BUT please offer Pedro (the caretaker) 200 pesos. He is trying to professionalize the area and can absolutely use your contribution. Also some kind fisherman living at the spot - if you give them fresh fruit, they will give you fresh ceviche. My mouth is still watering… Honestly great spot, but be cool and support the local = no free camping nor giving a beer/cigarettes for a night’s stay please. Bring water, toilet paper and torch/flashlight AND enjoy the stars!!!
Report Check-InTwo beautiful beaches. Dunes that still have vegetation despite vehicle traffic. There is a caretaker, Pedro, who is very friendly, takes away the trash and cleans the pit toilets. We gave him about 10US per night. Feels very safely. Lots of local families - especially during the weekends.
Report Check-InIt is a very good place to camp and it is for cooperation, they consider that there is no bathroom and no water services. There is signal but no internet.
Es un muy buen lugar para acampar y es por cooperación, consideran que no hay baño y sin servicios de agua.

Stayed here for a few nights. Lovely little camp spots available. We gave Pedro some pesos. Fish camp there fishing for sea urchins. Our friends got there wetsuits stolen but they left everything outside there truck at night. We felt safe here
Report Check-InThis place has a bit of a post apocalyptic feel - they held a rave there recently and the remnants of the party give it a slightly haunting vibe that may or may not add to the beauty of the spot. It now has rudimentary bathrooms. Gorgeous views, a friendly caretaker whose English was hard to understand but definitely better than our Spanish, and a lovely rocky point to explore made it a memorable place to spend our first semi wild Baja beach camping night. We paid 100 pesos and a cerveza.
