Latest Check-Ins

No tents or car camping allowed, will be towed come the morning. Thought that should be clear. Go to Lazy K’s down the road for $15.

Report Check-In

stayed 2 nights. I took the third spot. the dump station was filled to capacity, so I did not dump, but I did take on water. it was as advertised.

Report Check-In

Needed a quick overnight stay on a Saturday night. Three FREE spots with electricity; I had the third spot and service had recently been updated. One trailer seemed semi-permanent; other one left prior to me. Bathrooms were filthy with one of 2 stalls out of service. Updated boat ramp with huge parking area. Looked as if there were a couple of RVs parked there. Noisy until night, but didn't bother me. Dump station but did not use it. I was able to pick up weak WIFI signal from McDonalds across the street!

Report Check-In

Got there in the dark so it was hard to see all the parts for the park. When you come in there are bathrooms straight ahead. they close at dark and were closed when I arrived around 9:20ish. To the left is the boat ramp. To the right is a playground. If you take a sharp right, you'll drive through the RV dump station. pass the playground and the lots are back there and well lit. There are technically 3 pull through spots with electric (water at dump station), but they have 1 spot taped off. I got lucky bc there was one spot open when I got there.
This location is between the river & the main road. The river is beautiful, the road noise is not. :-) It was constant, but did reduce throughout the night. there are trains as well, but I think it may have stopped after after it went by 10:30. It seemed to run on the hour. When I was leaving around 7am, it was back at it.

We got to this location pretty late, but 2 spots were completely open with 30A hookups. one spot was taped off. A little bit of a tight parking lot but if you know how to do it, you can fit over a 30ft trailer. The coordinates took us to a different location, so we did have to pull up satellite view on our map and read the reviews to figure out where it was. It’s right across the street from the Kroger, pet place, McDonald’s. The view was beautiful overlooking the lake. There is a little concrete path down by the lake that takes you to a picnic area/playground. There is a free dump station and potable water. It’s right off the road so there was a little noise but not too bad. For a free spot, this was an awesome location!

Report Check-In

We were able to get one of the three sites. All 3 had an RV in it for the night. Great to have 30A power for free! Even a garbage can at each site.
You’re parked close enough to McDonalds to get free WiFi at the campsite.
Thank you St. Albans!

Report Check-In

Very busy road just feet away. Large plaza across the street. Clean and very well lit all night long. 2 spots available, the other occupied by an RV well settled in. I was unsure initially to stay because of the proximity of the road, but the river view is nice. Slept well. Road noise and trains and barges may deter some people. Would stay again here as a solo traveller.

Report Check-In

Right along a river. No fishing or swimming but has a boat ramp. Nice playground. Road is very noisy during the day. I am noise sensitive but found it good at night. Traffic 5am-10pm. With proper window shades the street lamps were fine. I would stay here again.

Report Check-In

As described. Turned on our fan at bedtime, the white noise drowned out the traffic noise. The police do patrol it, gave us a friendly wave.

Report Check-In

Nice view of the river. All three spaces were open the second day of our visit. The free electric hookups and water was great. One spot even has an outdoor grill. Pretty deluxe free spot.

Report Check-In

Free RV/camper parking in a municipal park. With electricity at each site! With a potable water spigot too! Hell yeah!!
Wish this was more common.
Yeah it’s a little loud during the day and early evening but it calms down later at night.
Bathrooms are locked at night.

Report Check-In

I got in around 6pm on a Tuesday, sadly all spots were full. But it looks like a great place to spend a night or two. I dumped my tanks and got some water and went on my way.

Report Check-In

Noisy and bright due to being right next to a pretty busy road. But it’s free, so will do for a night or two, can’t complain. It’s located in a nice park by the river so there’s that.

Not bad overall. The sign says RVs and pull behind trailers only but we stayed in a minivan one night with no problem.

Report Check-In

Second time at this free park, yes it’s close to the road so there is road noise and there is the occasional train but it’s free electric, water and dump

What a great option for this city to provide. Pros , free electric , great view of river , some shade, free WiFi from McDonald’s, Kroger and Advance auto across street.
Cons, lots of traffic noise , occasionally train noise.
BUT it’s free so no complaints. We saw a dump station and will try that on our way out , also one review said water but we didn’t have that at the site.

Report Check-In

Great stop, Free is amazing. Lots of road noise but did settle at. Ishtar. Kroger Advance auto across street. Great river view

Report Check-In

Great spot for a night! A bit of road noise, but nothing too bad. Sign says RVs only - we stayed in our van and were not bothered. Only 3 spots (we were 3rd to arrive) so hit or miss but if youre in the area, give it a try

We had great cell service too (verizon)

Report Check-In

As above. Three pull-in spots, completely free, with electricity hookup. Portable water pump and dump station by entrance to park. Road noise (and occasional train) not ideal. But being next to the river is nice, and there are flush toilets, trash cans, playground. I’m amazed that this is a free city offering!
