While my truck was being repaired, the awesome staff let me set up camp in the parking lot for an overnight. All sorts of cell service, fresh water and great food a short walk away. And inside the visitors center is an epic dinosaur display and an education to be had.

Great place to fill up a jug or RV. Easy in and out. They just don't want you doing laundry or bathing. The water works 24hrs. The visitors center has great info on area and restrooms.

The sign says to fill containers but the rangers seem to think that we were fine. we had a longer hose so we were able to get in and not block anyone. I think when they say that they're fulfilling containers they mean that they don't want people cleaning up and bathing in it.

Lobby and staffed desk area is open for business post-Covid-19. Exhibits still closed.

My group tried to hook their RV hose to the frost-free faucet and a ranger came outside to stop them. Portable containers only. The ranger said they cannot fill their RV tank with portable containers. Ranger stated “water here is too expensive”(???)

I suggest you park your vehicle away from the water faucet and carry jugs back to your vehicle.
