Peru
We took this turn off since we could see road markers and it was on maps.me, but all roads that not on the official map (see photo) are closed to tourists. You may see local fisherman drive them but tourists are not allowed according to the nice tourist police that stopped us after visiting the “mirador de lobos” (which didn’t have any lobos anyways). You might get away with driving out here but we didn’t. It seems the policies have changed since the park was reopened after renovations early this year.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
You can drive anywhere, but overnight camping is not allowed anymore in the park.
Report Check-InWe did not follow our map. We followed the signs at the park and all went well.
