Friendly Walmart - Willows | Informal Campsite

Right off i5 exit into Willows. You can see it on your right, my GPS coordinates were wrong saying to turn left. Parked closer to the garden center away from McDonald’s smell of fried burgers, but could still pick up McDonald’s free WiFi! Happy Walmart turned their outside speakers off at 9:00, just a little noisy from the freeway traffic. Happy camper!

Convenient location just off I-5. I parked in the SE corner with no one else around and couldn't hear the highway noise. They play music and ads over the speakers in the parking lot but those seemed to shut off at a certain time. Plenty of gas/c-store and restaurant options around, including a McDonalds in the Walmart parking lot that has wifi.

Newer Walmart. Called ahead and customer service said overnight parking allowed for a single night. Lots of road noise, but otherwise fine.

Kinda one of them new fancy walmarkets. Absolutely pat overlanding experience. If you’re into airplanes there’s an airport just south across street. Saw some crop dusters making rounds and flying low af which was cool. 11/10. Cheers

Spent one night here. Easy. Pull in by the garden center. Lights are on in parking lot all night (as expected), which made us feel safe. No one disturbed us. Hum of big rig engines all night but liked the white noise. My husband said he heard loading dock noise but I didn't hear anything. Perfect place to pull in and sleep for the night in an RV.

The market is open 24 hours, so it supports water, bathroom, or food. I spent a quiet night in the parking lot.

not perfect. witnessed a drug deal. cops showed up. random tree pruning in the middle of the night. not the best sleep

As described - great place for the night of passing through the area. Quietest walmart I've ever stayed at - barely any overnight traffic and no road traffic to speak of.

Friendly 24 hr Walmart parking lot in Willows, just off Highway 5. Lots of RVs and campers parked overnight.
