Description

Nice place with access to river not far from main road, lots of flat camping spots. There are bears - so camp safe.

Latest Check-Ins

Stayed two nights at two spots here both on the water. Easy access other than some potholes and the long road up. This place was definitely one of my fav spots. Multiple fire rings and close to glacier entrance. 0 att service

Report Check-In

Multiple spots close to the confluence of the North Fork Flathead River and Coal Creek. Self contained only: it's no longer allowed to bury human waste this close to rivers (and it works: no toilet paper to be seen here). Stay limit 16 days, according to posted signs at entrance.

Report Check-In

We considered this place but in early spring the river is super high.
Due to the 30-40 minute drive just to the entrance of the park we decided to go to apgar. Didn't look back.

cool in summer though

spot down by the rafts is nice and flat. a bit of traffic during the day picking people up from rafting. get here early lots of people looking for spots. there is about 7 spots. road has lots of pot holes but worth the slow drive in

Report Check-In

Designated spacious spots with fire rings and creekside camping when water is low. ( We were here last year in early September, right before the GNP closed and people were camped right on the Creek.) As others have said, just a few miles outside the west side of park, towards Polebridge.

In the beach, when the creek is low enough there are flat areas you can camp. The place is popular as boat launch but not a lot of campers. We stayed for 2 nights during the weekend since the glacier park was pretty busy to camp there. The park entrance is very near this spot.

Loved this place. A bit further from the park entrance than I expected, but it was worth it to sleep on the rock beach. Wound up laying the pad and bag out under the meteor shower. Cowboy camped beside the flowing river. It was a pretty incredible night!

nice spot next to the creek. lots of road noise, but a lot is drowned out by the water.
