Description

Good for big rigs. A large pullout off Stage Road a little set back from the highway, some trees and gravel, nothing fancy.

Latest Check-Ins

Ideal spot when checking out this location of hwy. 1. We spent two nights here in camper van and was very peaceful and quiet enough. Some road noise from Stage Rd , but quiets down at night. There's really not a spot that's level but we made due. I wouldn't recommend for rigs that need leveling out or large RVs.

Report Check-In

Definately not a "great pullout" or a "great overlanding spot". Really far from level, to avoid if you don't have leveling blocks

Report Check-In

Pros: Quiet. Hassle free. Feels safe. Reliable. Peaceful.

Cons: No level spot. So be careful making coffee in the morning. Also, as reported by someone else, local resident likes to honk as they drive by at 8:30 am. Not really an issue.

Report Check-In

A great pullout in the elbow of highway 1 and stage Rd (access from stage Rd). It's about 50 yards from hwy 1 with some vegetation blocking it from view. Seems large enough for big rigs, no problem for our truck camper. Slight angle to most of it. Mostly quiet, but you do get road noise once morning traffic starts.

Report Check-In

It is on the left side on the road. Easily confused with a small pull out on the right. Very close to entering Stage Rd.

4 bars Verizon.
Pretty nice view of hills on one side.
Good place for a night when you are in this area of the coast.

Report Check-In

Stayed one night for tent camping. No one else was there. Next to the highway so you will hear some cars but nothing too bad. Stage road wasn't too busy at night. around 3am we heard a truck blasting music but went right back to sleep. Very pretty sky view, not much privacy but great for one night for rv vans and tents!

Report Check-In

A little rough of an inch in going in. but just tucked away slightly below highway 1 and San Gregorio avenue.
dropped in 8:30 p.m. Left at 5:45 p.m. One guy came by and tutored his horn real quick as he drove off around 5:30 a.m. but I was already awake so it was not a problem.
A few police raced on by down highway 1 and what I thought was a Coast guard helicopter in the night heading south. maybe for rescue, who knows.
otherwise from that the place is relatively quiet and laid back.
Good for a night.

Report Check-In

We arrived around 9pm and left at 9am. No problem, just a car honking at 6am. Quiet place. Beautiful view of the hills at dawn. Enough space for 3 big RVs. The place was clean. No T-mobile signal.

Report Check-In

great lot for overnighting. got here about 430, had cops roll thru at 11. Figured I was getting kicked out but they just wanted to make sure I wasn't "doing drugs". Asked if there was ordinance against camping and he kinda shrugged. Said I could stay with my sedan + tent. Nice guy, still hate getting rolled up on like that.

Otherwise, ground is slightly uneven but flat enough to sleep. Coyotes were going crazy all night so watch out for your small animals. Obviously they left me alone, but the pack had probably 5 to 7 dogs. Got one long honk by a jerk in an old pickup truck at 6 am but since the cops gave me the OK I didn't really care.

Beautiful sunsets, beautiful sunrise, nice area. Would stay again if I could.

Report Check-In

Definite slope. We weren’t bothered for the most part, but had someone pass by driving northbound while laying on their horn around 8:30a. I guess that’s our wake-up call.

Report Check-In

Nice big pull out near the 1. A little noisy with traffic but not terrible. 3 other pickup trucks were parked as well.

Report Check-In

Nice dirt pull out right off US1, kind of nestled from the both stage road and PCH. Quiet. We did have anyone else stop and stay. We stayed from 8:30 pm until 10:30 Sunday to watch church. Good cell signal. Slight angle in van but found a good spot not too bad at all. Little trash was left behind so we cleaned up before we left. Would def stay again!

Report Check-In

Great spot for a night right by the ocean! Closest beach is about a 2 min drive. It’s a gravel pit and there are a few level spots for a smaller tent. A bit noisy as it is off of a busy road but nothing earplugs can’t fix. This spot really helped us out! Hard to find free spots in this area.

Report Check-In

Nice big spot. Not super level but good enough. Very quiet until 6:00am. Looks like there is beach access 4 minutes to the south with a restroom. Half moon bay only 9 minutes to the north. Beautiful sunrise.

Report Check-In

Good place especially considering there is really not much else around without “no” signs.
Bumpy and on a incline but quiet during the night

Report Check-In

Ok for 1 night. Not very leveled. Ok for big rig. And effectively by 3 times someone horned while passing on State rd. As we always did, we cleaned the place before leaving

Report Check-In

Nice pullout space, guarded by trees from the highway. Stayed one night, no one bothered us!

Report Check-In

We slept here last night with our 27 feet van. Some people are driving by and honking. We didn’t feel very welcome. In the night it’s quiet. It’s good when you don’t want to pay for an expensive campground. Don’t get here too early.

Report Check-In

Stayed here two nights in a row, no other vehicles. Arrived the first night around 5pm, slept late, no one bothered us. A lot of cars passing

Report Check-In

Good place to rest a night. No AT&T signal.

Report Check-In

We stayed here with another car and one RV with no problems. No one came bothering us, we arrived at 8pm and left at 8am.

Report Check-In

Nice gravel lot. Plenty large for a couple vehicles and relatively flat. Not very much road noise. There are no "no parking" signs.

Report Check-In

slept here on two separate nights, no problems! very quiet and full service for AT&T

Report Check-In

Good for big rigs. Leveled lot a little set back from the highway, some trees and gravel, nothing fancy.
