~100m spur south off the main road to a clearing that looks like it is occasionally used as a shooting range. Out of sight of the road and quiet though. 30-40 min from Etosha South Gate. Average MTC signal
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Indeed used as a ball-trap place, might be a private property, though no sign nowhere is indicating anything.
Let’s be responsible to avoid it to be closed : bury your poop and traces of fire please ! 🙏
Came back here for a second night and realised this shooting range is still in use. It was probably used over the weekend as we arrived for second night and saw new bullets and clay pigeons lying around. Just FYI if people show up for shooting practice
Report Check-InNot bad space. If you are coming from the east, you can also camp on D2779 (turn off at one of the many farm roads). You can hear vehicles pass at this space and jackals at night but undisturbed. MTC 2 bar LTE (in the rooftent)
Report Check-InWe stayed here after a visit to Etosha park. Nice and secluded spot. Not visible from the road. Shooting range with a small shelter. Bullet cases on the ground. Lots of stars at night. Lots of wasps in the morning.
Report Check-InNice spot on reasonable distance from the etosha gate. All area is fenced so difficult to find a spot. It's a little dusty but invisible from the road.
