Latest Check-Ins

The visit of the Bamoun musée is really nice and interesting. Maybe, when you arrive on the car park, a guy will tell you that he is a guy and can show you the palace +the New musée (with the big spider) and climbing at the top of the mosquée and more things. But the only one who can do the visit of the musée of the palace is Ali. You pay him the fees (2000fcfa per person). And there is nothing else in the palace that we are allowed to visit than this musée with Ali. So if somebody else (like Amadou) is speaking about visit something with him, know that it's nothing to see with the palace muséum. Also in september 2023 the New muséum (with spider) is not finished, it's empty, nothing interesting.

Nice palace with friendly English speaking guides. We had to be in town again the next morning for our insurance and they let us camp inside the gate for 2.000.

It is still 2000 CFA pp. Very interesting place and beautiful. Our guide Ali is a sweet man, very passionate. However, be careful, they are building a new museum next to the palace : even if it was not officially open yet, they proposed us to pay 1000 to see it and, honnestly, it was pointless with nothing to see.
People are not agressive there like in most tourist places in Africa - yet - but some guys not from the museum hang around the place and will try to bring you to there little souvenir shop or, for example, one of them asked us for money when we left because he "watched" our car... (Of course we didnt pay, its a free parking if you pay the tour. )
But really good experience anyway. We recomend it :)
