Description

$10pp. A separate space from the hostel above. It has its own WiFi network, a covered picnic bench, four 110v electricity outlets, and a water spigot (near orange trees). Bathroom/shower with hot water about 30 meters away. You can still use all the lovely hostel facilities (observation decks, pool, restaurant, free yoga). Staff are very friendly; despite being a resort-like place, they are welcoming to us overlanders! The German owner also makes three types of beer served on tap.

Pets can stay in a camping car . If you want accommodation you have to rent a cabana so that the pet can sleep on the terrace. Pets are not allowed in the rooms.

Don't go up the driveway! The camping area is just as you pull off the road, but it is secure, with privacy hedges and a dedicated surveillance camera monitoring the parking area at all times. Vehicle gate closed at 10pm. Tent camping not permitted.

It's simply a rip-off. Overlanders seem to be lower class.
What a shame. Impertinent!
I left.

Expensive for a poorly maintained camper area. $10 ppn seems too much. We went to other place. Also, the owner showed unwelcoming to newcomers.

We can confirm everything that has been said before. Amazing facilities, great Restaurant with spectacular beers . Loved the pool! And don’t miss the coffee tour at the finca across the street!

Place is wonderful!
Nothing to add to previous comments, just that the entrance doesn’t have height or width restrictions.

What a gift to stay here! We stayed four nights. $10/adult and no charge for Caspian our son. The camping area is mostly dirt with some fallen leaves. At least at this time of year, the afternoons are really hot in the camping area. The electrical outlet was fixed during our stay, so we could use it (our solar panels are down right now). Water spigot is also very convenient. The bathroom and shower are up a short, but steep, hill. This isn’t a great location for anyone with mobility issues. With his knee pain, I think Eric only walked to the restaurant/pool area twice in four days. But hopefully you don’t have that problem, and in that case you will love exploring the grounds. The bar and restaurant prices are very reasonable. $5 margarita is fire. :) We did walk into town. Took a $2 taxi back with groceries.

Heavenly! This is the kind of place where you don’t hang around the car. The campground part is fine, nothing special, but the grounds of this ecolodge are divine! Beautiful paths, lots of private areas with hammocks in the nature, the pool is awesome, pool table, ping pong, board games, fire pit, free morning yoga, free tea all day! $10pp seems like a lot, but if you utilize all the activities, free yoga, tea and spaces, it’s actually an amazing deal. Wifi is good but doesn’t reach the camping area. A great option if you work remotely. We came for 1 day and stayed for 5!

Came during a downpour so opted for a room with the kids. Cost for camping would have been $10 for each adult. He wasn’t charging for the kids. Very nice property.

This camping offers everything you need. Hot showers, clean toilets and a restaurant with good food and nice brewed beers. But… 10$ per person for camping with our van on the parking lot is a little bit too much in our opinion. Its literally just a parking spot with lots of visitors during the day for the yoga lessons. Again the camping itself offers everything you need (including swimming pool / bar with cocktails and a pool table / amazing view over Vilcabamba).

Everything as previously noted... EXCEPT the price is now $10 pp/pn.

We indulged in a 75 minute full body massage for $25 and it was great!

There is potable water in the camper parking area! Showers are still hot... the bathroom/shower is about a 150 foot walk up a steep driveway. Also... wifi does not reach the parking area.

We recommend this place for a relaxing night!

We spent 3 nights here. Still USD 5 pppn. Use the left parking: there is a little cabin for overlanders as well as water and electricity.

The whole estate is 10 ha huge with own small walking trails. The swimming pool is very refreshing, the bar relaxing, the food in the restaurant delicious. ONE OF THE BEST SPOTS there is, with (gas heated) hot, very clean showers. Toilet paper & soap in all baños.

They offer bourse back riding, massages and free yoga classes at 7.30 in the morning. We started every day like this: the yoga shaka has a very, great view, which compliments the classes.

Tip: ask for pan integrale which is for sale at USD 4. If you are lucky they just baked new ones.

The above description is accurate. Hostel and camping are well organised, staff are very friendly and helpful. Walking on the property is a pleasure.
Just one thing: security camera was broken, so lock your things in the car when you leave the campsite.
