Small informal dirt road pullout and many dispersed camping spots around. Just about any size rig can camp here easily. Quiet boondocking on national grassland land, branch off a small dirt road from the highway. Good dirt road.

Great spot outside of Teddy Roosevelt. About 20 other people were along the road up the hill but there was enough room to spread out. Check out the Petrified Forest trail nearby if you have extra time!
Report Check-InStayed here in our 38ft Skoolie. We were only 15 minutes from our trailhead in Theodore Roosevelt NP. Lot is big enough for 2-3 big rigs. Mostly level and good Verizon signal
Report Check-InBeautiful spot! we were parked on the second highest spot for 4 days with amazing views and sunsets. I wouldn't suggest the two highest spots for rigs over 30'. top spot requires some high clearance to get into to. would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay close to the national park or 94
Report Check-InWow superbe place tranquille.
tres belle vu.
plusieurs personnes a distance agréable.
Beautiful views but very packed! Had good cell service. Got in late on a Saturday (my mistake) and most spots where taken. Quiet though. Important to note that there if private property just down the road north of this location.
Report Check-InWe tried to come here around 8pm and every spot was taken. Spots looked nice though!
Report Check-InWe arrived late and left early. Most spots were taken. From what we saw the next morning in daylight, we would love to return. Very close to the national park entrance. Good Verizon signal.
Report Check-InWe easily found a pull off down this road. Several other people camping at different spots. Absolutely beautiful, I would come here again 100%. Such nice grassland views.
Report Check-InGood place to camp on your way through North Dakota. Easy access for all size RVs. We have a 30' trailer and could pull in to any of the campsites easily. As we were leaving there was a Class A in one of the spots so I would say any size RV could stay here no problem. There are no amenities and no shade. You can hear a little bit of noise from the highway but it wasn't so loud you couldn't sleep.
Report Check-Ingreat place to crash for the night. the area is clean, quiet and near Theodore Roosevelt National Park. the night I was here, there were three other vehicles. I was in an suv. watched a beautiful sunset, then made dinner.
it was a little buggy, nothing extreme, but worth mentioning.
no toilet or amenities.
Report Check-InThis location is great. Stayed at the first turnoff because it was almost dark when we got there. Quiet and pretty, there were 3 cars at this turnoff of the main road and plenty of room for more. No bathrooms at this first pull-off, did not explore to see if there was bathrooms/outhouse further down the road.
Report Check-InThis spot is AMAZING. It's just outside of Theodore Roosevelt National Park, so the landscape is very similar to the national park! We drove to the top spot, but it was already taken by a large bus, so we turned around and picked a spot farther down that was still beautiful. Almost full bars Verizon without a booster. Cows are everywhere... which means cow pie everywhere too, but it didn't bother us much + we didn't notice the smell in our van. The cows surrounded our van around night time and then head down the valley during the day. We loved it! Also we found a petrified tree trunk!Highly recommend this spot!
Report Check-InAs described. This was a perfect, quiet night with amazing views for free. Pretty good t-mobile service. Lots of other campers here, but everyone was spaced. Highly recommend.
Report Check-InWe brought our van and met a few tent campers on this spot. Further up the hill at the other IOverlander spot was class A’s running their generators so nice to have this little area.
Report Check-InAny vehicle can find a spot, there are 15-20 spots down this road. They get better the further you go down with some spots overlooking the whole valley and others where you can hike into the prairie. Don’t just pull into the first spot and stop - look around! The last spot down the road is INCREDIBLE - it’s on top of the mountain and overlooks everything with 360 views (you need high ground clearance to park up there, don’t bother trying with an RV or trailer).
Report Check-Inbig rig can find a spot. might have to do a little walking around to make sure but lots of spots to pull over and find a spot. had great signal for LTE
Report Check-InSeriously epic. We parked our 20' trailer and tow vehicle easily on the highest point just southeast of this GPS location and feasted on the gorgeous views of TRNP to the northeast. Usable AT&T and full Verizon service. 90s during the day, 50s at night. Perfection!
Report Check-InNice quiet place on national grasslands. Campers are far apart. Sunsets and sunrises are amazing.
Report Check-InThis was the perfect place to camp for a couple days in our van while we were on the road to MT! Once you get on the road it’s pretty much a straight road where you can pull off anywhere and camp. First night was perfect, second night we slept higher up and woke up in the morning surrounded by what looked like flying red ants. Other than that we really enjoyed the views and had a great time!
Report Check-InGreat spot on national grassland. There are more spots further up too. This was more protected than others. Fit 4 vehicles (2 towing, 1 van, and 1 truck camper). Everyone had their own space too. Beautiful sunset!
Report Check-InGreat night spent here! They do a nice job of maintaining the gravel road back to the dispersed campsites. It was freshly graveled and rolled when we arrived.
Report Check-InNice spot. Lots of space. A few pull outs and a hill top shared by myself and about 12 other vehicles.
Report Check-InExit 23 is from eastbound I-94 only and does not have westbound reentry or an exit from from westbound I-94.
If you are coming from westbound I-94, just take exit 24 and turn around. We had no trouble getting our 42' 5th wheel to this location. When turning off the main gravel road, the road could be a muddy mess if it's raining. Fortunately it was very dry the entire time so we had no issues. This spot can fit several campers and has a fire pit. The best part is the view you get of the grasslands/National Park. This spot seemed fairly busy as we had a lot of single night people stay.
This is a 15 minute drive to Medora where you can enter the south side of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. If this spot is full, there's a couple more spots further up and plenty more along the main gravel road. The cell phone service here was pretty good with Verizon. We were able to watch Netflix, facetime, and have work video calls. Our dogs loved the location because they could run everywhere without a leash.
Report Check-InSmall informal dirt road pullout. Enough space for a few small campers and tents, quiet boondocking on national grassland land, branch off a small dirt road from the highway
