Great Tranquil sandy bushcamp with big trees for shade. Each stand has a braai bin. No electricity weak internet signal. Flush toilet with hot water donkey shower. Very friendly owner also gives a tour of mesosauros fossils. Will definitely like to camp here again.

Report Check-In

What a lovely spot! The bush camp is beautiful and ablations are neat and clean. We experienced the most beautiful sunset here! It’s quiet and quite an experience so close to the Quiver Trees. Lovely stop so close to Keetmanshoop.

Report Check-In

Lovely, quiet Bush camp with large camp areas, oil drum bbq/firepit, shade under big trees ( huge weaver bird nests in them which provide hours of bird watching entertainment......friendly, cheeky birds) Good showers and flushing toilet.....light the donkey if you want hot water. Lovely walks over the rocks andaround the quiver trees and a 4x4 trail too. 140 nad pppn

The Bush-Camp is still beautiful as we remembered from many years ago. 4-5 sites, the two closest to the ablution have most shade under trees with huge social- weaver birds nests. Rustic but clean shower and toilet. The surrounding with all the kookerboom trees is aweson - we love is and will come again and again.... N$ 140ppn

What a magical place ! We spent the 3 nights we enjoyed walking among quivertree, stargazing and spend long evening around à firepit. Very clean ablutions with running water toiles, hot donkey shower (wood is provided). Owner is very friendly ! Highly recommended !

Report Check-In

Totally agree with the last comment. When we were there it was very quiet. We stayed 4 days days next to a social weever nest. The Fossil tour was great with our kids, they were amazed and I really liked it too. Not something you find in Europe, a backyard hands on fossils territory.

Report Check-In

nice bush camp in the middle of the quivertree forest. 3 pitches at 3 kilometers from the road and the office so very quiet. amazing view, sunset and stargazing.
drinkable water. shade and wind protection thanks to the big trees.
4x4 trail for free. (a loop of 10 kilometers)
2 showers and 2 flushing toilets.
hot showers with donkey : they let wood, you had to switch on. no electricity, no light, no wifi, no garbage bins.
we liked it : 4/5 !
140 pppn.
messorus fossil tour : 130 pp at 9am or 4:30 pm. very friendly old owner.

An amazing campsite in the quivertree forest. ND140 per adult, kids half price. Good shade, basic but very clean ablutions. The highlight is the quivertrees which, having been to both, are much better here than the Quivertree Bush Camp. The trees are much better spaced to get the classic ‘sunset’ shot. The owner, Giel, is a lovely chap, and his tour to see the fossils is well worth it.

Report Check-In

Exactly as described by others. I was the only one there and had the entire campsite by myself. The owner, Giel, gave me a private tour of the fossils. In the morning I took the 4x4 route around the farm. Lovely 10km track.

Report Check-In

We were here for the 3rd time and love it. The Mesosaurus tour with Giel is informative and he himself is a quaint guy. At the end of the day you can take a lot of photos in the quiver tree "forest". That is why we particularly recommend the guided tour at 4.30 p.m. followed by beautiful evening light.

Report Check-In

Beautiful campsite. Simple ablutions. 3 big trees for shade. Hot water is only available via the donkey.
Lovely host!

Report Check-In

After Reading all the comments about the campsite near B1 we decided to Go here.
How really beautiful Place. Standing under a big tree we spent a very hot day feeding birds and waiting for a beautiful evening between the Quivertrees.

Report Check-In

We really loved this place. Surrounded by quivertrees. We were alone at the campsite. Simple shared ablution. Hot water by making a fire. Lots of birds. Beautiful stars.

Report Check-In

Great campsite! Very nice set up and spacious campsites. Wooden stove for showers (takes about 30mins for hot water). 4x4 track is doable and about 10km from the campsite (16km if you start at the entrance). Great for stargazing and friendly and relaxed owners.

Report Check-In

Everything as described as before.
But water pressure for the hot water is very low in the showers.
Still 140 ppn

Report Check-In

Remote and very basic bushcamp on the property of Mesosaurus Fossil Camp surrounded by big quiver trees. Access is on a 3 km track on their property that requires a bit of clearance but no 4x4. Water is heated with wood. Very quiet and natural. Very weak MTC-Signal. The quiver trees make a great foreground for milkyway photography!

Report Check-In

Price still N$140pppn. Friendly and knowledgeable owner (old Oom Giel) who can explain the strange geology of the area and the origins of the fossils. Will take you on a personal tour of the mesosaurus fossils for N$190. We chose to do only the 4x4 track which is well worth it and free for overnighters.

Report Check-In

Great bushcamp. Very well maintained. Noone around and great location. Very clean. You have to light the boiler yourself for the hot showers. Patchy MTC reception from the bushcamp. Well worth the 140 BAD pppn.

Report Check-In

Schöne Lage! 2Toiletten und Duschen mit donkey. Campsite 140$, einstündige Fossilien Tour mit Giel 130$,

Report Check-In

remote campsite with own braai and lots of shade because of the big trees; campsite is located between the quiver trees and a nice 4x4 track passing the quiver tree forest starts here as well; shared, very cool and clean facilities; highly recommended; 140 NAD ppn

Report Check-In

Bushcamp is very nice. Ablutions are very basic but has everything you need. Definitely giving
the whole experience an a+

Report Check-In

A much nicer place to spend the night than the quiver tree rest camp down the road, worth the extra kilometers to have a really authentic and quiet bushcamp among the quiver trees and weaver bird nests. Braai drums, communal ablutions with donkey showers and flushing toilets. $140pp

Report Check-In

Loved it here! Super friendly owners and very informative about the fossils and quiver trees. Clean and comfortable chalets.

Report Check-In

The people are so nice and funny here. He allowed us to stay in the quarytree forrest, because we need nothing from the camp, which is one location on his guided tour. A few km away from the farm/camp. This was magic. Thank you!

Report Check-In

There is a camp with little houses near the road but we went to the bushcamp 3 kilometers away (just follow the signs). 4x4 recommended. Very nice place with basic but new and very clean ablutions. Many quiver trees between rocks plus 4x4 trail. We highly recommend it - if you like being off the grid but near the road.

Nice quiet camp as written below, we paid 120 ppn, but they did not charge the children. Fantastic sky in the night!

Place is more a bushcamp.
Still on the farm but 3 km from the road in quiver forrest and surrounded by big boulders and rocks.
Nice and quiet place. Ablusion has new tin plates and is simple but OKé. Donkey shower.
We paid 200 for 2 pers. and 4x4. Price is 110 pp.
You can have a fossiel and quiver tree tour.

Report Check-In

We are on our journey since 3 Month and this was the loveliest place up to now.
The bush camp is absolutely basic but equally enchanting ! The Ablution was very very lovingly designed. There was everything you need. For the shower you have to fire a bathboiler first. The Owner comes every morning and brings wood and toilet paper. we stayed there for 2 nights only, because we had to buy groceries... otherwise we would have stayed two nights more. it was a pitty. the landscape is breathtaking ! Wonderful - I would love to give 10 stars, but thats not possible....
