Description

This is the first pull off that you'll encounter on the forest service road. There's an information sign on the right side of the road. We parked here and the advantage to this site is that you still have Verizon service if you need it. 500' further and you lose service. If you stay here, make sure to walk the forest service road as it's beautiful.

It is a wonderfully beautiful forest. I had a very good and quiet night here. There was even service, very slow but it worked.

Report Check-In

Quiet, easy to pull up to at night. Just a minute or two off 101. I didn’t have any Verizon service here.. or much at all anywhere around here.

Report Check-In

Overall - quiet and isolated spot good for a few nights.
Parking - many spots along the hard packed wheel paths as another road veers off to a logging road with sign.
Network coverage - no coverage
Washroom - nope, but you can go to the kalaloch campground or reaort further down by ranger station and ask if you can use the facilities .

Quiet and safe, beautiful scenery. TMobile 1 bar didn’t really seem to connect except we’d wake up to app notifications. But then could barely send a text. Great spot, would stay again.

Safe and quiet spot to spend the night. Easy to walk the dogs on the logging roads.

We absolutely loved this spot. It’s right off the road and easy to find. The view of the sun through the trees is gorgeous. You can hear the ocean too.

Like how others have described. Only a bar or so of T-mobile. Gorgeous views, especially when the sun is setting, it filters through the trees.

Perfect place for our 20foot vehicule for the one-night. Very easy to find, right into the forest, on an asphalted road.

Esse lugar é realmente lindo e tranquilo, dormir no meio da floresta com um céu cheio de estrelas é demais, perfeito.

This place is really beautiful and quiet, sleeping in the middle of the forest with a sky full of stars is too perfect.

We stayed in the spot just up the road past the sign on the left. The first spot was too muddy for our 2WD Promaster so we didn't want to risk it. Barely 1 bar Verizon at the spot we are at. Such a quiet nights sleep here.. only had 1 car drive past us.

Report Check-In

Recommend for a place to park/sleep for a night. We didn't drive in too far because we found a few pretty level pullouts easily so picked one and parked. We were tired from a day out exploring so went to bed early and didn't hear a thing all night until a car drove by about 6:00 am which was time for us to get up anyway. Thumbs up 👍

Site is still here. No "No" signs. Not much sunshine for solar, but hey, it's a place to park for the night.

Spent one night here. Road entrance is just past the campground on the left when heading South. Stayed at the first pull off on the left after the information sign. Very quiet. One vehicle drove past in the morning. Not much to look at but it’s free and the location is good. Close proximity to pull offs on the main road for watching the sunset. Road going in was good, minor pot holes.

Great place to stay the night. Enough places to park, also for big rv‘s. The pull outs are flat and spacious. Forest looks nice, quiet.

Moved here after we got kicked out of Steamboat down the road. Quiet and had a couple bars of Verizon coverage. Good enough for a night.

Report Check-In

small pull off of the logging road on the right side. has a small diy fire ring made out of stones and is large enough space for a car/van but not an RV. also please pick up your trash as there was a lot when I showed up.

Not amazing but ok for the night. Drove a few miles up, no sites near the creek. We didn't stay right at these coordinates - drive about 1/4 mile up and turn right on the logging road, a little way up there is a more private pull off with a little fire pit. Make sure to check out the "tree of life" on the beach by the campground beach access. Stayed in our 31ft class C.

After driving around for an hour on a long weekend and getting turned down by every full campground we were super happy to find this place! Simply just a road to no where in the middle of no where but it was getting late and this was just what we needed. Wasn’t bothered by a single vehicle or body. Guess we saved $30 on a site. Thanks

Ok spot for the night. Checked out the spots further up the road and drove quite a few miles of the forest roads in the area. Lots of logging and it is unclear who owns the land. We opted for the lower pull off right off the road. Large enough for our big Unimog, but only just. Easy access to 101. Could hear the ocean in the background.
