Something not right?

Description

There are boiling hot springs next to a crystal clear river. Good bathing in natural tubs. Hot waterfall is too hot for a shower :-)
A lot of flat space on grass for camping, enough wood in the riverbed for a campfire.
Some locals during the day on weekends, but even then very quiet during the night.
Good place to stay more than one night. No 4WD needed. Trash container provided, no other facilities but beautiful nature :-)

Latest Check-Ins

I travel by bicycle.
The police came and asked if I was going to stay overnight, I asked if it was allowed. Yes, I just need to know if you're staying.
A little later another police patrol arrived, I was not allowed to stay anymore, it was going to rain and there was a risk of flooding.
They had another place for me at a small police post. To make a long story short, the police gave me a lift and dropped me back here. I was allowed to stay anyway, as long as I looked for a higher spot. They are very concerned that something will happen to a foreign tourist in Georgia. My advice is to tell them you are an experienced wild camper.

We got send away by the police at night fall, so did the two vans that were parked there. It seems this place, however tiny it is, has been made into a "national park" and therefore camping is prohibited. Other than that the spot is very beautiful but probably super busy in summer

We came here with three bicycles and were nearly alone at this place. We could go all the way down to the river. The parking is with a lot of trash and a police car was staying the whole night on the parking too. But we were allowed to stay and had a peaceful night. The hot springs are worth the visit! Many (friendly) dogs (we counted 9)

It’s very crowded and dirty. We visited this place on a weekday afternoon. There were more than 20 cars and 3 Microbuses. Maybe it’s still nice in the off season.

We stayed one night from Sunday to Monday and had perfect tíme. YES, there were a lot of people when we came, but ako left when it was getting dark. The night was calm and in the morning we had the hot pools all to ourselves. We were leaving at 10 am and still nobady appered.

They have done good road so there are lot of people now. Nice view and river, but impossible to stay at night if you wish to sleep in silence.

perfect place. police welcomes you to stay here. As long as there is one camper they stay here or close by.

bring a shovel to dig your own hot pool in the riverbed.

Report Check-In

Very nice place, but there were a lot of people during the day and also until late at night, but nobody bothered us

Report Check-In

Very nice spot, some locals during the day but all were friendly

Report Check-In

Great place. It was empty even on Saturday

Report Check-In

Very busy place now, even during weekdays there are many many people. At night it clears up but in the morning you find many people again. Trash comes with it but still okay to stay the night

Report Check-In

Nice place to stay. Locals come here too.

lovely place, natural warm pools where you can bathe in (quite small, therefore can't get in completely, at least where we were) perfect to wash yourself when the other people are gone. At daytime there are some people around, one family came to talk to us and even brought us food :) also there is a very cute streetdog around who loves to snuggle or just lay beside you. very quite at night except for some barking dogs around there. from time to time you get a whiff of sulfide smell from the hot well but not to bad that it would have bothered us at all. would definitely recommend this place for a night or two.
