MODERATOR NOTE: Place deleted because camping is illegal here. Signs posted and enforced
Don’t forget to call ahead or ask inside.
Free to stay at the Walmart parking lot. This is probably the only one here that has its own dedicated parking lot. All other Walmarts in Edmonton appear to share their lots with other stores. Good cell coverage and not too noisy.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
signed as no parking, however we stayed here for around 3 or 4 nights in our car up the back off the parking lot. there were also a handful of caravans that looked like they had been there for a while.
Report Check-InStayed here for one night in a van. There was some RVs too. No issue
Report Check-InLots of space. Some RV’s look like they have been parked for a while.
There were 3 of us that set up around 8pm and left after midday.
No issues.
Mostly quiet.
Report Check-InStayed a couple nights, the lot had plenty of great spaces. Didn't ask or check in inside and we weren't bothered. Highly recommend, very chill location.
This location also has a bottle refill station (paid). We bought a 4L bottle from Walmart for $2 (plus applicable taxes) and got it refilled as needed for $0.98!
Report Check-InThere is a big sign indicating overnight parking prohebited. We went inside to ask and they said we are not allowed.
Report Check-InStayed in the NE corner of the parking lot without permission in my car, no troubles. There was about ~5 other campers/vans/trailers there with me.
Report Check-InNice quiet Walmart parking lot, nothing special but just a quick safe place to spend a night :)
Report Check-InStayed at many Walmart this summer, this one is really good. One side is outlet and the other side is a park.
The most important thing is Quiet night with other campers. Very quiet and safe.
Thank you Walmart.
Did not ask for permission and did not see any signs.
Report Check-Instayed again without registration. it's extremely quiet at night!
Report Check-InWe went inside asking if it was ok to stay overnight, and they say that’s it is no longer permitted… so we left and went to another Walmart, more east, where the sign in the parking clearly said « overnight parking permitted only with permission ».
Report Check-Inthis location has a "no overnight parking" sign, but camping is okay with permission. 6 campers were parked out in the NE corner. has a McDonald's inside and in a plaza with many great shops.
Report Check-Inmassive parking lot. stayed for 2 nights it was ok. not too noisy at all
Report Check-InStayed two nights, plenty of others around one even had a full size bbq and was cooking in the lot! I don’t think they mind at all though I personally try to stay discreet in parking lots especially. Oddly I found on the second night one sign that had no overnight parking but no issues arose. Some campers we’re fully set up, levellers and all and hadn’t moved on day two when I showed up again, and looks as though they weren’t just staying “a few nights” if you get what I mean. Plenty of other shops around too so nice area. Also lovely open grass area beside lot
Report Check-InMy other app that is specialized in Walmart parking (RV Parky) doesn’t say overnight parking is allowed here, so until we read on here that someone asked inside or called to talk to a manager, we should consider this place as a no go.
Report Check-InPerfect spot for staying overnight.
There were lots of other RVs here and some were there for a couple of days.
Close to restaurants and other stores.
Stayed here for the night, quiet but lot of lights at night.
Walmart Open 7a-11p
Stayed here for the night. No issues, not even very noisy!
