Description

We stayed here for one night. Quiet and free. Didn't see any signs of no overnight parking. There were others RVs. We sleep on a rooftop tent. Close by to a lot of things. As well close to Abardeen mall and Starbucks which are two other sleep spots. Close to Cora breakfast and lunch which opens at 6, for the early washroom break.

I stayed here for 2 nights, parked inbetween the hill and Costco, not in the back by the loading docks all the employees parked there. i saw at least 1 other campers van here every night. hope you have good shades the parking lot lights are bright! I could hear the highway but it wasn't too bad.

Report Check-In

Stay one night here, everything is okay now, hope can sleep well

Report Check-In

It’s -20c out and snowing, so our planned stop wasn’t suitable. We did some shopping and asked inside and they were very friendly and helpful. They asked us to park around the back which we did. It seems to be where the block heater plugs are so we left early to avoid taking those spaces up. Do ask inside - they’ll say yes, but appreciate being asked!

Report Check-In

Pulled into parking lot at 12:30, and there were about 8+ other campers here. Not to loud, very well lit up.

Report Check-In

Pretty quiet during the night. There was almost 10 RVs last night, all size. Everybody parked not too far from the gas station

Report Check-In

Had a lovely time here for a night. A surprisingly pretty parking lot :) You can go to the casino for a bathroom break (use the Costco side doors) and the gas stations were open early for early morning needs :) Would definitely stay again.

Report Check-In

Énormément de monde, on se sent pas seul, mais sécuritaire, à côté d’un casino, aucun problème

Report Check-In

Lovely quiet spot, lots of other RVs. Lots of people walking their dogs (on leash) in the morning.

Report Check-In

Scrambled to find a place to sleep for night, as originally wasn’t planning to be in Kamloops for the night. As no other campers around, was told by an attendant to park in the back area near the gas bar.
Quiet until morning

Report Check-In

Pulled in about 730 (store was closed)
There was already 2 RVs there.
We're sitting eating supper next to our van
in the far corner of the front lot, when a manager's car pulled up. I was sure she was going to lecture us or ask us to move along... However it was quite the opposite

She was letting us know we'd see a bunch of staff cars leaving soon from the back of the store and more would be coming about 4am.

I commented that I'd been worried she wasnt going to like us there and she said they have NO PROBLEM at all with RVers. She said it's much easier to allow it then to police it, and there's never been a problem, so why not allow it.
We thanked her profusely for her open mindedness.
Felt very safe and easy on-off the hwy there.

Super duper nice person.
A+ place to stay.

Road was only loud until about 11.
Slept soundly until 730.

Arrived late one night after fleeing the Walmart (lots of signs against RVs), a few campers already there, used the Costco bathroom and cheap gas thanks to our client card.

Report Check-In

Parked overnight with about a dozen other RVs in the area between the Costco gas station and the Costco tire centre. Well lit with lots of space. Feels very safe and only minor road noise. $1.50 hotdogs for dinner and early shopping when they open at 9 am before hitting the road.

Report Check-In

Parking lot around costco. Loads of other rv’s and vans! No dark spots, only streetlights. I did not feel unsafe

Report Check-In

We slept there for one night, there were other campers. Before going there, we went to the pionner park, which didn't seem safe, and we went to the travel centre, which is beside the police station. We also went to Walmart, but there was a sign indicating no overnight parking.. Costco seems to be the safer and quieter spot in Kamloops for a good night of sleep.

Report Check-In

Lots of other RVs, circulating "security officer" writing down license plate numbers. She said it was OK to park for one night. Quiet until about 630am.

Report Check-In

Stayed here two nights while passing through. Doesn’t seem super obvious like other big box parking lots we’ve stayed in, but didn’t have any issues. Parked along the narrow lot next to the employee lunch break structure. Nice to get a $1.50 Polish Sausage or any of the other unique Canadian Costco Food Court options. Very quite though.

Gas station next to costco (costco gasoline) with a bathroom to pee. We were far enough away feom the gas stop that we didn’t hear any car. Got here around 7 and leaving at about 10 no problem. Photos show the parking spots and where the gas station is.

Report Check-In

Large parking lot readily accessible from the highway. Dead quiet here as the warehouse closes on Saturdays at 6:00 PM We arrived 7:15 PM. One motor home with toad already here. Other RVers started arriving shortly after we arrived. COSTCO opens Sunday morning at 10:00 AM - bonus sleep in. Propane & gas bar are available during business hours.
