Rest area on Hwy 1. Accessible from both directions. Toilets and picnic tables. Bit noisy as it’s right next to the road but no signs that camping is not allowed. Quite a few other cars, campers & trucks that stayed.
A big trash dump to get rid of trash.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
We were there with a rooftop tent for an overnighter and had no problem. It’s a bit noisy but you can’t have it all. :) we were with a few trucks.
The washroom were ok, not the dirtiest nor the cleanest.
Enjoy your night!!
Easy off and on hwy 1 E! We found the actual rest area a little tight for our 30ft trailer as it was busy when we arrived! At the East end of the parking area there is a road indicating 2 way traffic, we turned there and ended up backing into a spot there on the right. We issued this spot to rest up a bit and use our own facilities to shower, anticipating the free dump and potable water at Falcon Lake ahead of us!! It was a great spot, private and would perhaps be a good sleep spot for one rig of any size!!
Report Check-InWe stayed here for one night, with a few other trucks and cars. Classic rest stop off the highway with basic facilities.
Report Check-InArrived there at 9pm left at 7 am. Place as described. Only minor noise from highway. Washrooms are working. Not super super pretty nor clean. Would recommend.
Report Check-InIf you have a small camper like a transit you can park along
the paved road liking the two rest areas. There is two or three spots on the side of the paved road MUCH QUIETER than the official parking. No problem to turn around. Weak cellular reception.
Nous y avons passé une nuit car nous ne voulions pas nous éloigner de la transcanadienne pour reprendre la route au réveil. En sécurité. Toilettes sales. Énormément de moustiques. Pas seuls.
Report Check-InGreat location along to the highway. Other cars and one trailer sleeping there too- we were in a car, but grass room for tents. The highway wasn’t noisy overnight, but the transport trucks that were parked there too were running overnight and a bit loud- earplugs recommend! Bathrooms, picnic tables and not too buggy!
Report Check-InStopped for lunch and to kill some time, we have reservations up the highway that has an arrival time of 3pm
Report Check-InTwo Other campers and two cyclists in tents here tonight
Bathrooms are clean
Good overnight rest spot
Random tractor trailers stopping by for a rest
We slept good
Big rig ok next to highway but not much traffic at night. Great place for layover. Toilets on site.
Report Check-InGood place to stop for a break. Possible to spend the night here too as long as one doesn’t mind the highway sounds. Exit is on the left side approaching from the west.
Report Check-InPerfect spot for an overnight stop. The connector road between the Eastbound and Westbound rest areas is quite quiet and peaceful.
Report Check-InPlanted our tent, used earplug, was a goodnight.
Good table good washroom with hot air.
Report Check-InNice rest area. There was a road between the 2 rest areas on each highway. It was quieter there with little grassy spots.
Report Check-Ingood spot with tables and places to pitch a tent. washrooms have warm water and running water in the toilet. quite close to the highway so not the quietest spot. very popular stop for truckers. fine for one night.
Report Check-InConnecting road between east and west bound has a couple of small pull offs. You could also set up a tent here.
Report Check-InJust a rest area on Hwy 1. Accessible from both directions. Toilets and picnic tables. Bit noisy as it’s right next to the road but no signs that camping is not aloud. Quite a few other cars, campers & trucks that stayed
