Very nice state park just on the shoreline of Lake Michigan. The sites are well spaced and have some shade and you have direct beach access. Very calm and relaxing location !
The north showers were broken when we were there (no hot showers ) but the other one were fine with great hot unlimited water ! 25$ with electricity.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Landed here after hours in an off season, but we were able to pay honor system style with cash and an form they had left out. Great place. Showers and bathroom. Very easy access to a nice sandy beach. many squirrels
Report Check-Intwo bathhouses for a lot of sites therefore a lot of shower and toilet traffic. No alcohol signs everywhere but no one paid attention to it. I think as long as you dont bother anyone noone cares. 25$ a night. would stay here again.
Report Check-InThis is my favorite campground in Northern IL. $25/night in cash. with a card it was $26. The 300s are FCFS. You can only make a reservation online 3 days out. If it's within the 3, you just have to show up. Two bath houses. Each site has electric. CG is open from May - December 31st.
Report Check-InPark has a large campground along Lake Michigan. Sites are close together and wouldn't offer a lot of privacy during peak season, but we were here on a cold weekend in May and everyone was spaced out and quiet. Site 312 is the only one with a small hill that allows a lake view! Best for small rigs or vans. We got to see the sunrise on Lake Michigan from our van. There's beach access and a bike trail. The only downside to this camp ground is that the showers were cold.
Report Check-InVery nice campsite, every spot has electric and there are showers and toilets. There are water pumps at the ends too. Came here for Labor Day weekend because everywhere else was booked but so glad I did. The couple that run the check in were great. Will definitely come back.
Report Check-InStay here for just under a week for work. It is a good site for 25.00 a night has a bath house and is close to Lake Michigan. I would recommend making a reservation before you show up cause there might not be any space for you. Only issue I had here was my first night here someone stole a case of water from me but other than that I would recommend this site and I will stay here again
Report Check-InThis campground is open, but operating at lower capacity due to Covid-19. This place is huge and there's at least 20 FCFS site. We showed up at 5 PM on a Tuesday and were able to get a spot. Beach access, potable water, dump station, free showers, fire rings, and playground available. Good cell service on ATT. Not a bad place for $25 per night.
Report Check-Inquiet.. many open sites even though most areas are closed. $25. electric. no water at site.
Report Check-Inreduced to 25% capacity, walk-up only for Covid... we arrived at 3:30 pm were turned away because "we fill up by three!" Great place when they're open, but a big gamble at the moment.
