Latest Check-Ins

We visited before and liked it so we’re going to go back. When we turned up though they are doing some major construction work in front and Isabella told us it wasn’t possible to stay as they often completely block the entrance with building materials. She said it would be like this at least a month.

Report Check-In

We spend more than 2 weeks at Isabela's place for Spanish classes. Good place located close to the center (10 minutes walk and safe neighborhood). Shower is hot and good pressure. The owners are nice.

Report Check-In

Lovely quiet and sunny spot right in the city. Easy walk to old city centre 10 min max. Only one bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. Good water pressure and hot water. No WiFi in camping area. Paid BOB 25 pp pnt

Report Check-In

stayed here 3 nights. ideal location, ten minute walk from centre. bathroom clean and hot shower. no wifi when we were there! Owner Isabella very friendly.
2 minute walk from Silvia's Spanish school if you are looking for Spanish classes.

Very quiet and safe place, and very close to the city center - we left the car here and did everything on foot. Still 25 Bolivians per person. It is actually a very large yard where the family rents parking spaces. Clean and super new bathroom with hot shower.
_________

Report Check-In

I got here today and they built a new toilet and shower, with hot and cold water faucets so you can mix however you want, which is not common in Bolivia.
Still 25Bs/person

UPDATE the bathroom is broken
The place is still amazing. 25 bs per day per person. But the broken bathroom is an issue. We spent 4 nights here and the lady didn't fix it yet. It was already like that when we arrived. All the pipes are clogged, so if you want to pee or take a shower, all the shit come out from the floor hatch.
So, if you want to stay there, check before if the bathroom is fixed. If not you should negotiate the price.

Spend 5 nights here. Entrance indeed no problem with a GMC savana. We could have electricity and even wifi from the big house on the property (wifi worked a little bit). 50 p night for the 2 of us. They are struggling a little bit with the bathroom. During our 5 nights stay the toilet was clogged. 3 times there was a repair guy but couldn’t fix it. For the rest a perfect place close to center. Isabelle is lovely!

Report Check-In

We stayed for two nights and paid 25 Bols p.P.p.N. The entrance was no problem with our Ford E350. A lot of space and Isabella and her sister are lovely. The bathroom was clean but the shower drain clogged.

Report Check-In

We stayed two nights here for 50bs/night for 2 of us in our truck camper. Isabella and her family are so friendly and gave us a key for access. Bathroom, shower, sink to do dishes, no wifi but great cell signal. Great location for exploring this lovely area of Sucre. Access in and it was a bit difficult for us. Wouldn't try in anything larger than a truck camper and would also attempt to access on Padilla from Ovidio heading toward Azurduy going uphill. Ground at entry is a bit uneven.

Great place to stay in Sucre! Not sure why you’d pay 50Bs across town when you’ve got this place. Grass parking area with a bit of a view. Clean bathroom and almost too hot of shower with great flow. No common area or wifi but doesn’t bother me.

They even gave me a key for easy in and out. Quiet at night and nice neighborhood. Recommended.

P.S. Ask Isabella about getting eggs from her neighbor who sells excellent quality huevos criollos at a good price.

Report Check-In

Entrance is the big green gate. 25Bol /person/ night allow you to park the van safely nearby sucre center and spend a night with hot shower and bathroom. The owners are really friendly.

Report Check-In

We stayed one more night afer our 2-3 months break, when we left our van at this place (see vehicle storage). During this period they fixed the hot shower which belongs to the backyard. It wasn’t that clean but hot😉

Report Check-In

Isabel is very nice and helpful. We passed nearly a week at her parking in the backyard and could use her bathroom. Still 25bob per person.

Report Check-In

After being successful in iOverlander they decided to charge double price. It costs now 25 BOB PER PERSON. The access is very, very hard and the parking is not so flat.Toilet was cleaned and the outside shower still no hot water, you have to get in her house to use the shower. For the Bolivian standard we think they are charging camping price, but you don't get all camping facilities. However we stayed for the night because the access was so hard that we didn't want to get out once we were in. We also thought it was 25 BOB per car, as it was in all previous comments.

Report Check-In

As described but price is now 25 Bol pp.
If you are in a kombi, the parking place is complicated. Got problems to go out of here with our vw t2. You will need power to climb the 3 meters hill.

Report Check-In

At the beginning, we wanted to stay just 2 days in Sucre and on this place for the night.
Finally, we decided to stay one week in this wonderful place.
We met other overlanders with van, and also the incredible family of Isabela.
All these people are awesome and generous.
Thanks at all of you for the amazing week in Sucre
25 BOB per day, showers and toilets

Report Check-In

as everyone said before, Mario and Isabel are genuinely lovely people and the place is perfectly located. while it is big rig possible, it certainly isn't big rig friendly: low hanging wires and branches (we stopped midway to cut tree limbs) and the transition from the very steep street to their flat driveway makes it precarious. HOWEVER... if you are a big rig, ask them to put you in the adjacent property with the other entry. small rigs can enter at 521 Padilla no problem. big rigs should park nearby, ring the bell, and request the lower entry to the brothers property.

Report Check-In

This place is great. It has a great location, close to the supermarket, la plaza, el mirador, and the hosts are just so so nice. Mario is a 78 year old battery and isabel is the kindest.
Coming in on a big rig is double but not easy. What we recommend is that you ask to park on the lower level parking, which you can enter from a flat street. That way it will be big rig friendly.
We payed 25BOB for the 2 of us and our car.

Report Check-In

We spent here a week and a half. Isabella, Mario and family are very nice people, very welcoming. The new price is 25 bols per night per car. If you don't need shower and bathroom it could be 20 bols. It was hard to us to find the place because the point is in the center of the square. the exact address is Padilla 521 between Azurduy and Ovidio Cespedes. It's a green gate. If it is close ring the bell in the green gate. To get here is better to drive in the direction from Azurduy to Ovidio Céspedes because in the other direction has a strong slope. It's perfect to leave the vehicle here and go to the center by foot.

Report Check-In

Nice and quiet space to stay. Isabel is really friendly and let us use her bathroom and shower while they renovate one for the parking area. Paid 20 bol for a night.
