Description

MODERATOR NOTE: Place removed because camping is illegal here. Day Use Only, Signs posted and enforced

Ample parking right on sandy beach, level, pure sand all around. Beware soft sand. You can drive as close as about 200m to the water line. Cold showers and toilets available, at least in summer. It gets very crowded suring sunny summer weekends, but suprisingly not too noisy. Not sure if they close this place down during winter.

Daytime (07:00-22:30h) parking is EUR 6,- (2020 it is 8 €) per vehicle plus EUR 3,- beach use fee per person.
Officially no overnight parking allowed. The fine people walk around at night at clip the ticket under your wipers without waking you up. The parking fee people will wake you up at 7 in the morning to collect the money.
Dogs on leash only, execpt for dog areas about 1km further north on the beach. Nude beach available, too.
A few restaurants/bars on the beach, life guards, kite and sand buggy areas.

Overnight stay penalty is not collected in the morning like a fee as it is a penalty for the violation of nature protection laws. It is about 120 € and can be fined per person. Police may ask you to leave or you may receive a late reminder by mail. It will be percecuted in European countries as well. Parking fees for the day are 8€ in 2022.

Latest Check-Ins

Penalty for overnight parking is much higher, it is at least 120€ and can be fined per person, as it is a violation of nature protection laws and not a parking violation.

Officially no overnight parking allowed, but many do and happily pay the fine (first night EUR 35, fines higher second and third time/night). The fine people walk around at night at clip the ticket under your wipers without waking you up. The parking fee people will wake you up at 7 in the morning to collect the money.

It's a rip-off, obviously, and not exactly my cup of tea, but the location is unique in Germany.
