At 5pm on the Friday before Labor Day it was full except for site 13 which is the worst in the site with no table and very slopey. A nice neighbor offered us leveling blocks if we didn’t have enough but we managed. The site was nicely sheltered from the vicious wind everywhere else.
Report Check-InIf coming from Chatwyn, cross the bridge over Pine River, then turn left at the brown sign Heart Lake Provincial Campground. If comming from south, the turnout is after West Pine Rest Area. There are also signs to Pine Le Moray for the turnout to Heart Lake. Campsites are in the trees / shaded, above the lake. Our neighbors ran their generator until late at night and again early in the morning.
Report Check-InVery nice campground, free. Pittoilets, fire rings with lots of wood laying on some of the spots, little grass beach to the lake with a dock. We arrived around 15.00 h on a Friday and there were only 4 spots taken, got fuller later on.
Some potholes on the road here but not bad at all.
Super complimentary campground but in early August overrun with mosquitoes! Worth an overnight stop.
Report Check-InBeautiful camping and lake. 15 sites all free and lake access with dock. About half full but got space 15. It is close to the lake and pit toilet. No cell service.
Report Check-Ingreat spot to camp by the lake. it's free, clean sites, spacious. nice and quiet.
Report Check-InBeautiful spot. only 1 other rv here right now. clean. wood stacked up by fire rings.
Report Check-InNice Lake as described above.
No Potable Water found!!!
No Camping directly on the Lakeshore.
Awesome place, looks like a normal campground but it's freeee ;) every site has its own table and firering and is sheltered by trees. Road here is not too bad with a 2wheel drive either.
Report Check-InGreat place for camping. Even if you don't have views to the lake from the campsite, there is a picnic area with tables (and non potable water) where you can go for a swim. The sites itself has picnictables too and are in the forests. We spend a relaxing and quite night there.
Report Check-In14 spots in an established campground. Most are not level. Pit toilets. firepit and picnic tables in each site. the lake was very pretty. campground is basically the responsibility of the campers, so clean up after yourself:) gravel road about 1km off the road. free!!
Report Check-InGreat free campground. It was almost full when we arrived but we managed to find a small spot. Some people were partying and doing a lot of noise with the motorbikes (maybe because it was on the weekend) but luckily they were far from us.
Report Check-InFree campground with about 12 sites, boat ramp, pit toilets, fire pits and water.
