We started with our campervan for 1 night. It cost $10 to park on the grass near the parking lot ( no hookups). We paid at the bar, which opens at 4:00pm each day. It was a quiet spot with lots of trees. It’s walkable to downtown and overall a good spot to stay over.

$20 a night for electric, $10 for the grass. Big trees with shade. 50 amp power but they have dongles to change it to 30 amp. Easy walk into town.

You do have to be a VFW member, or have prior approval to stay here. Suggested Donation; $10 parking lot, $20 campground area (with electricity?). I am a lifetime member of the VFW. Decided to drop the camper in the parking lot since we do not need the electricity. I'm hoping to stay put a couple days here while the weather is not good.

Little campground with 5-7 sites. We made it in with a 43’ 5er. $15/night. Some train and plane noise but it didn’t bother us. The electric is wired for 50amp plugs but only 1 leg works. No views but good place to visit Talkeetna from.
