We enjoyed the Mt. Sabinyo hike a lot!

A wonderful community campsite right next to the Mgahinga park gate. Basic facilities but such a nice team. it was raining while we were camping so we were able to hand out in their restaurant where they have a fire every night. They also have Banda's but not sure how much they cost. Small bar with beer and wine available . We did the Batwa trek which was great fun. Camping $5pppn. Definitely recommend this place xx

Report Check-In

Very pleasant community run campground. Still as others have said, $5pp. No wifi when we were there. Right next to one of the trekking gates, If the gorillas have moved locations, staff help you find the second park gate, a slow 45 min drive away. Evening campfire is lovely.

5$ pp, not many flat spots but they will find one for you. flushing toilets and warm showers after request (they had issues with water and electricity during the 2 nights we were there, but still prepared us a warm bucket shower). electricity (when working) and WiFi in the main area, where they will also make a fire at night. the staff there was extremely friendly and helpful and the campground at night completely quiet. the UWA office and starting point for hiking/tracking is only 1 minute to walk. highly recommended camping place!

Very friendly and helpful staff, some nice spots to camp. They opened a room for us to use the hot shower after we did a hike.
Meals also very reasonably priced, $5 for a dinner, camping $5pppn
Can recommend this place

Report Check-In

Well run campsite. There is one spot that is easily accessible with a RTT which could be big enough for 2 vehicles.

The staff were very accommodating and managed to help us manoeuvre our 4x4 trailer into another spot since the main one was occupied.

Hot bucket shower on request, clean toilets. Power also available from one of the rooms. Meals were also reasonably priced. 1 minute walk to Mgahinga NP office. We would recommend this spot.

$5pppn

Report Check-In

We passed a quiet night in our RTT. Paid $10usd for 2 people Basic campsite close to the park. Good free wifi at restuarant/bar.

Report Check-In

Fantastic place to camp on green grass right at the park gate. Makes total sense to camp here before Gorillas. Everything you need, nothing you don't. Road up is rough.

Report Check-In

Excellent place if going into Mgahinga NP as it's right outside the gate.
Basic campsite, hot water supplied for shower if requested. Good food.
The road up is both steep and rough in places, high clearance as a minimum is recommended. BUT it's being surveyed for improvements at the moment and we're told they should be done in the next few months.

Report Check-In

Nice garden but no restaurant anymore. To the gate it is a 15 minute walk. For campsite they ask first usd 15.-, we have necotiaded down to usd 5.-

Report Check-In

Basic campsite, two spots for car with roof tent, no big rigs. Only 50m from the gate of Mgahinge NP. Basic meals served at decent prices, beer available but not cold as there is no electricity. Bucket shower, but water is really hot, so better ask it 30 minutes earlier than your planned shower. They will provide charcoal stove on request free of charge. Paid $5pppn.
