relaxing place with amazing pool and riverview at some pitches : choose well ;-)
we choose one pitch with roof, watertap, outdoor cold shower, riverview, electricity and light.
bridge to go to the bar and the restaurant that open at 6pm but you can go when you want. we saw some hippos from the bar and 1 hippo came by night in our pitch ;-) amazing experience. very quiet with a lot of birds !
free and fast wifi at the bar only.
180 per people per night. we stayed 2 nights, we loved it : 5/5.

Fantastic place overlooking the Okavango.
Owners are very friendly. The campsites are nice, but this time we stayed in the luxury tents on the island. A dream!
The bar is also on the island and they serve beer from the tap.
You can buy game from the fridge, the best was the zebra filet.

What a wonderful place! We stayed here the third time, for 3 nights. Highly recommended are the sites directly at the Kawango, but the others are also great. Every site has a barbecue place, water, power and some light. Clean and well maintained ablutions. Alexander and his son Georg are doing a great job - obviously they love their job, as everything is done with „love to details“. Nice chalets as well and, quite new, 3 tents on the small island just before the campsite. One can reach the island over a suspension bridge, and at the island, at the banks of the Kawango, you’ll find a wonderful sundowner bar. A dream place to watch the sunset, and relax. They mostly have some game to sell, too, good quality. And they have a small swimming pool, wonderful!

Very nice Lodge and Campsite directly at the Kavango River. Each Site has a barbecue, shower, sink with drinking water. Toilets and Showers really clean and with boiling hot water. Cool swimming pool, riverside bar with sunset view and walking/jogging trials on the island connected to the campsite by a swing bridge. Good food and all kinds of drinks available (food you must order in advance those days).

Camping 180 Namib Dollar per Person.

It is worth it. We wanted to stay only one night and ended up spending five nights.

The owner Alex and his son Georg speak Afrikaans, English and German. They are super friendly.

Absolute recommondation.

Un camp magnifique ! Tout est fait avec goût, la passerelle qui va à l'île est le moyen de faire une belle balade au lever et au coucher du soleil, le bar parfaitement intégré dans le lieu permettant de voir les 2.
Alex est un bosseur qui ne laisse rien au hasard. Campsites, tentes et chalets au bord de l'eau sont parfaits, superbement équipés et d'une propreté rare. les sanitaires du campsite, idem. Il y a une douche extérieure froide sur chacun des 6 camps, et un blocs sanitaires parfaitement entretenu avec douches chaudes. Chaque campsite a son propre coin abrité, avec évier et poubelle nettoyée chaque jour. Rien à redire !
Super balade sur l'eau aussi : la rivière est magnifique avec de petits rapides. Nous avons opté pour une sortie pêche, et seul mon mari a payé (350N$ l'heure) alors que j'étais sur le bateau avec lui pour prendre des photos.
Bref, 180N$ pppn, ça n'est pas si cher payé pour un coin aussi magnifique !

Amazing! Remote in the nature at the river... we saw 2 hippos swimming in the morning, chilled at the swimming pool and in the evening at the bar. Perfect for only 300nad for 2 persons...

Very nice shady camp site and self catering lodge on the water. Sanitary very cleanly. Beautiful little rock swimming pool with watterfall. And on own small island with a suspension bridge there is wonderful bar and sundowner drinks We have seen hippos and Crocodile. It is a dream here.

Great find, thank you! Don't be put off by the access road, paradise awaits you at the end! Beautiful quiet campsite and self catering lodge, nestled in a lush tropical setting. We had campsite 3, right on the river and under a beautiful big tree which was perfect for us bird nerds. Private outdoor shower, braai and washing up area. Electricity at each site and potable water. Shared ablutions were very clean. Beautiful little rock pool swimming pool with waterfall. Island bar perfect for sundowner drinks, just not too many as you have to cross a rope bridge to get back! N$150pp

Nice place. Very well maintained. Clean toilets and shower. No rules about noise, so it can get annoying. A bit expensive, as children pay the same as adults - 150ND.

Very nice place by the river. Ablutions clean and hot water. Braai, sink, rubbish bin and electricity at sites. There is also a small thatched roof for shelter. Nice! 120 NAD ppn

Beautiful campsite, we agree with all previous reviews, BUT we were charged an additional fee of 100 NAD for having a “lorry”. We have an Unimog. That increases the camping fees for 2 people to 400 in total!! ( 2x150 camping plus 100 NAD lorry fee) I only found out after we paid and I didn’t check the details of the bill. I think it makes no difference what kind of vehicle you drive we are still only 2 people camping whether or not we have a bigger car does not in any way increase the costs for the establishment. Left a bit of a sour aftertaste and feels like the owner wants to make more money for no obvious reason......

Nice place. You don't need 4x4 to reach it. price was 150,- N$ ppn.
Wifi is available but only at the bar far away from campsites.

A real beautiful place. We stood with our 18 t truck at place 3 direct at the riverside. Perfect. So, that means that we managed the trees. We cut some branches and it needed a little time, but it worked. The friendly owner helped us. It was worth.

Wonderful Campsite!! Seriously one of the top 3 of my trip, really nice natural pool,close to the river, beautiful sundowner bar, facilities are very well maintained with a lot of love fot details! The tapwater is all drinkable and tastes fantastic! This is a place you want to stay at at least a couple of days!:-) enjoy!!! price has changed for 2019, it is now N$ 150 pppn.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! So peaceful in a very natural setting. The island bar is genius, perfect spot to chat with travellers over a beer while hearing hippos in the distance. We loved this spot!! N$ 120 pp.

For dog lovers: there's an adorable, friendly Daschund named Helmut. But becareful of the German Shepherd, he can switch easily. He's fine if you leave him alone.

perfect place to enjoy the Okavango River. We stayed at Campsite 3 for two days , with Riverview and beautiful sunrise and sunsets. Owners are very friendly. We did the Island walk (45 Minutes interpretative ) and the sunset riverboat cruise . No Hippos, but they are around, we could hear them during the night. Beautiful small bar in an ideal location on a small island to enjoy the sundown. Overnight was 120 N$ pP , the combined tour was 300N$. They have a natural swimming pool with a small waterfall.

Nice campsite with great facilities; some have little lapas (thatched roofs), all have fire pit, braai, sink, water and cold water shower at the site while the ablution block has hot water on solar as well. Campsite 5 even has its own private viewing spot over the river. Nice grassy sites and friendly owner from Germany!

The short trail over the bridge on the island shows hippo prints and is a cool little place to walk around. Watch out for hippo, crocs and snakes though.

Perfect place for a good clean and a wash of the car as well

120NAD pp plus 100NAD for vehicle if deemed large. The surcharge was only notified in the morning. Errors also on the bill in favour of the lodge. Entrance road is tight and low branches after reception. Therefore not big rig "friendly".

Nothing else to add to previous comments. Just the price on campsites is now 120N$/pp. Children from fife upwards pay the same price. After some negotiations we payed half price for our fife and six year old kids.

If you read this, then you pick the right place. You stay for one night? I don't think so. You definitively book a second one ;-))
Thake the outside shower at your pitch and enjoy the view on the Okabango with some soap in your eyes.

Fabulous! Amazing value. This place was built and is maintained with a lot of care and love. The bar on the island in the middle of the Okavango River is awesome. Payment is cash only. (ATMs in Divundu)

Lovely spot. Great campsite, great facilities, the place is at river level not overlooking like many others and has therefore lovely, interesting views and also cooler. More spacious and more private feel to each campsite than next door (5kms) 'RiverDance' camp.
Shared but well kept ablutions, great bar on the water and we paid 100 per person. Excellent value. Only negative is no internet. Great place, a camp to stay for a few days and truly relax. We extended our stay here and reduced our planned stay at RiverDance.

Superb. Lovely campsite, very relaxing, funky bridge across to an island and we saw otters and crocs. Price has increased slightly to 100 per person, amazing value. Really nice place, so relaxing, very well organised and excellent facilities.

One of the most beautiful campsites we encountered in Namibia! Campsites have own braai, fireplace, water and sink and even a shower. Beautiful view over the river and great bar on little island. NAD 90 p.p.

Beautiful place. Only 6 camp sites but I was the only one there that night. On the river, grassy, landscaped, nice covered spaces with sink, power, nice hot showers. Cool bar on an island across the river by swingbridge. No wifi. I paid N$90 for a night.
