very quiet spot. there were some cars in and out but no one bothered us.

Report Check-In

nice place, few cars passing late and early, nice walk, nice pittoresken, good sleep

Report Check-In

Basic gravel parking lot just off a moderately busy road. Stayed for two nights. We loved getting to hike up the Cieneguilla Petroglyphs trails in the evening to watch the sunset over Santa Fe. Two bars of Verizon LTE, wasn’t super fast. People came in and out throughout the day to hike, but nobody bothered us.

Report Check-In

trailhead parking lot directly off the side of the road. people started showing up to hike at about 8am. i was disappointed to see the amount of trash and tp scattered throughout the parking lot and surrounding area. please remember Leave No Trace principles and pack out your tp after burying your solid waste.

This is my go-to spot when traveling through Santa Fe. The petroglyphs are fantastic and no one bothers you. Good cell service. I’ll be back!

This is just the La Cieneguilla trailhead, chill spot for a night as others have described. If you are choosing between here & the other overland option nearby which claims to be BLM land on top of the hike, go with this one, given the historical significance of the area & archaeological materials to be found this is not the type of place to go clomping around off trail in your vehicle or on foot.

Report Check-In

this place is gorgeous, good vibes and is pretty easy to get to.

Report Check-In

Great spot, with medium traffic until about 11pm. Lots of farms in the area, so mostly trucks. Occasional airplane/ helicopter noise

The petroglyphs really special, and short enough for an easy sunrise viewing

Report Check-In

Stayed here one night, 2 other vans were there as well. A few other loud cars were there in tbe evening but left by 10am. Great little walk to see the petroglyphs before we left in the morning. No bathrooms or water, and we had pretty bad cell service (Verizon and tmoblie)

Report Check-In

Gravel/dirt parking lot, level. Nice sunsets and amazing mountain views! I personally thought this was a gem of a spot, beautiful. Both nights there was another boondocker overnighting, as well as your typical local teens coming in to listen to music and smoke pot, no big deal and not bothersome.

Report Check-In

Exactly as described, large level gravel parking lot. Nice little hike from the trailhead up the ridge line to beautiful views. Great signs about the trackways as well. It was very quiet and a nice place to stay for a night while passing through Las Cruces. Excellent cell reception, was even able to stream some Netflix.
