Quiet, beautiful. Lakeside boardwalk, great playground that included a zipline. Immaculate playground, sites, toilets. $20 unserviced — highly recommended.
Report Check-InI only visited the day-use area to go for a swim in the lake, which has warmer water than other lakes in the area. Checking in to add that I have 4 bars on Google Fi and average data speed.
Report Check-InGreat stopping place on your way to or from Alaska. Beautiful lake and very well laid out rv spots.
Report Check-InNot much to add to previous comments. Nice place, especially for kayaking. However, camp is only 3 miles from Haines Junction. Arrived about 1630 hrs, about 3/4 of sites already taken on weekday.
Report Check-InVery nice campground! We boondock as much as possible for free but somehow I feel safer in a campground.
Report Check-InReally nice campground. $20CAD.
No bugs and only 1/3 full of campers. They do have smart birds. They almost got my s’mores.
Nice campground, a few pull through spots with many back-ins. None of the spots really have a lake view, so just park where you're comfortable. Free firewood all over camp, definitely bring an axe or hatchet. Most wood is pretty wet, so look around camp for smaller pieces if necessary and plan to spend a little time chopping and lighting. Bugs were pretty light - but beware the birds. If they hone in on your spot they work together and they're smart! They tried to steal a frying pan from us. The boardwalk along the lake is flooding, so there's not much of a trail anymore and it's muddy. There is a brand new paved trail from the entrance of the campground to Haines Junction, though, if you have a bike or are up for a bit of a walk.
Report Check-InBeautiful large campsites $20 first come first served. Light Misquitos
