Wow. Beautiful spot. No clear-cut pull-outs, but plenty of space.

Turn at mile marker 46. We drove out and stopped at the sheep pen area which is large enough for a trailer to turn around. Lots of space there. The lake looked partly dry but still had some water. There was a narrow dirt road that headed toward it I thought. I hiked down it 2 miles but still hadn’t reached the lake. Beautiful day 65 degrees. Did not see anyone else out here.

A great spot for the night! Excellent AT&T Service. Nobody around for miles. Watched a far away lightning storm at night. Road is well maintained and easy to drive.

Epic beautiful sanctuary, complete solitude, salt flats, lake, mountains, sun, stars, Mother Nature in all her glory. Well maintained road easily passable in 2wd van.

Awesome night's sleep! Serious solitude out here. Great AT&T signal. Recommended.

Report Check-In

Large wild open area with lots of spaces. You got (dry?) lake views and nearby mountains. Didn’t spend the night as it’s quite windy and you can see sand storms near by.

Followed the road to a clearing and fire pit. We entered at dark and we’re amazed at the scenery when we woke up in the morning. One of our favorite places!

Arrived pass 10pm… a little nerve racking driving here but the road are ok… got to test my new Baja lights & brighten the whole area. T-Mobile works here.

Moon like, great landscape. No Verizon service. Road in good condition.

Report Check-In

Well maintained road. AT&T cellular service available.

i didnt go all the way down to where the gps told me to go as i found a bit of a clearing with a firepit so i ended up just parking there. sunset is beautiful the big hills/small mountains look amazing. its also extremely quiet here, if theres any cars passing by on the highway, you cant really hear them anyway

Report Check-In

I stayed at the intersection of the road leading to the lake and the main road into the area. There was no cell / internet service ad you dropped down towards the lake. Verizon service was pretty good (in spots) along the main road.

Slow drive down a gravel road but not bad for a RWD van. Really beautiful view. Catch a sunset here! 🏔🌅🏔

Report Check-In

Stopped here on the way to Great Basin NP but decided to move on. It was our in the middle of nowhere and blazing hot. No water in the dry lake bed.

Close to highway 6, extremely quiet, incredible views from another planet! Check out for yourself if the mirage in the distance is really water :)
