Camping along the road to Stud Horse Point with a great view over Lake Powell and far enough away from the Highway 89 to be really quiet. There are more spots to camp further up the road and also at Stud Horse Point itself with a gorgeous view and great hoodoos. You will need 4 WD to reach Stud Horse Point but to this place 2 WD is fine. The road is quite sandy but ok with 2wd (no rain)

This has a great view as a backup to Stud Horse Point. We headed to stud horse point but near the top the road was not safe to pass in our 4x4 Sprinter (we would have roaches a high centered at on point). 3 Verizon bars. Beautiful views. Quiet. Except for the wind.
Report Check-Inpulled up and left. looked creepy. graffiti wall, abandoned shopping cart. drove up further to stud horse point
Report Check-InNice and flat area with fire ring. Beautiful spot for the sunset and the sunrise. The road is a little bit sandy but it is alright with a 2WD and our « traveler Autobarn RV »
Report Check-InNice place. Quiet near the bunker. Some bullets shells but nobody. Nice view. Att lte on the small hill.
Report Check-InHeaded to this location but stopped a little earlier along the dirt road still a good 1/2 mile from rt89. Nice views and easy in and out.
