Beautiful area, but be forewarned, the spot at these coordinates has a TON of broken glass on the ground. Also multiple fire pits all within a 20 foot radius and a huge pile of ash full of broken glass. That pile was kind of in the way for parking a camper. We spent a bunch of time cleaning it up, moved the big pile by a tree etc. We didn't have a good way to haul it away or we would have. Do your part, here or anywhere else you camp...leave it in better shape than you found it.

Same as previous posters. Beautiful scenery, quiet place. We stopped at the first pull off area, easy to get to in our skoolie and minivan

Descriptions are all understatement. This is byfar the best site I’ve been into. Beautiful sunset/sunrise. Peaceful and quiet. Scenery is spectacular. Windy, but was able to enjoy stargazing at night. Encountered lots of deers going in so be careful. Also some broken glass and thin can I packed to go. Definitely will cone back hoping this site would remain open and clean by nice and disciplined users. Decent ATT 2-3 LTE bars.

Easy to get up here in any vehicle. The GPS location is one of the first few spots, keep driving to find more.

Nice and quiet. I got in easy with my 2WD van. Very pretty scenery. There’s a few spots but I was the only one there. I chose a spot nice and hidden from the road

Wow! What an amazing place to stay. So many great sites with incredible mountain views. The NM mountains are glowing pink and the juniper trees are glowing orange at sunset. A fanfare of natural beauty. No light pollution at night, just the moon and stars. So quiet, no cars, no locals doing donuts, or noise pollution. Just the wind. Maybe we will hear coyotes singing love songs tonight. Life is beautiful. Get out and live it!

Beautiful quiet place in the mountains. Easily accessible by a decent dirt road. Cell service with T-Mobile is very poor.

Setting here in our 30' motor home enjoying the scenery. Sipping our morning coffee with the Lincoln natl. forest mountains in the background.
fairly level area with a large loop to camp around right off the main road. Very quiet and super dark skys at night. Driving directions put us right on the spot. Cell service is good on our AT&T phones. We really like this spot. Will be back if were in the area. mikee409

super nice spot and very easy to reach, a Prius could do it!
some broken glass but awesome views and sunset.
when coming from Carrizozo, don't be mislead if your GPS directs you to a overgrown gate. just a few hundred yards down the road is the actual access road.

Super easy to reach, and what an absolutely beautiful place to watch the sunset over Carrizo Peak to the West. Relatively secluded, however there was one other vehicle about 1/2mi away, and I could hear their conversations pretty easily. There's also a property nearby with dogs I could hear barking randomly through the night. Thankfully both the vehicle and the dogs were minimal issues. Watch out for small cacti as you reach the area around the site, as they could easily puncture regular car tires. Overall, solid location and I'll definitely stay here again in the future!

Beautiful spot.. very easy to get to . Sunset and slight breeze in May.

I really liked this area! Very little traffic and not another soul camping that I could see.

The dirt road is a little rough in spots but I managed to get a bus and trailer over it easy enough.

Plenty of space for a larger rig. Pretty level too. Watch out for cow bones.

Great views and close to Historic Capitan, Lincoln & White Oak. Roswell is an easy day trip as well.

Capitan has a friendly library with wifi
