Came across this when searching for parking for a hike up Blencathra. It has a sign saying pub parking and wild camping. Great parking spot for hikes and pub, close to the main road so there is a little traffic noise. We didn't camp but would be a handy spot. Dog friendly inside the pub.

you have a big dog.
Small car park off to the side of the pub ( The White Horse Inn ), popped in and asked if we could stay and they said yes. Next to the main road but not too bad for traffic later at night. Buy a pint and use the loo in the pub before bed. Enough space for 10-15 vehicles but long ones may struggle.

Report Check-InThe pub was closed but parking available to stay , no gate, no signs forbidding overnight stay. A few private houses nearby. Moderate size parking hidden within trees, not far from the main road.
Report Check-Innice gravel parking, can be a bit hard to park in a longer vehicles but doable. lovely cosy pub with great food.
Report Check-InGreat place to stay the night. Large car park surrounded by trees next to the pub. Free to stay if you purchase food or drink. No amenities but WiFi and bathrooms inside the pub. Decent food at moderate prices. They play the quiz on Wednesdays at 9pm which is a lot of fun!
