Great place for a quiet night. As noted, G-Maps will take you to a park that is incorrect. Come in from the south, not the west.

Google maps will do you wrong. Continue on landfill road, turning left on Reservoir road (gravel) just before the fairgrounds. Otherwise you end up at boat dock, park.

Location is a little odd as it's just a corner between road and Jackson Flat Reservoir. It is BLM though I checked map. Stayed 4 days and nobody bothered me. Once in a while had another guest. People use area to access the park too. Porta John there (for park actually). Paved trail around lake is great exercise. Not that many level areas, but got my 31ft motorhome level fine near fence. Also rained and got muddy in parking area so beware.

So grateful for this spot. Needed somewhere to wait out blizzard conditions farther north in utah and this place delivered. Was able to stay 3 nights with absolutely no one bothering me.

GPS might take you to the new lot with the restrooms that says no overnight parking, you’ll need to go past that a bit to get to this location

Great little piece if BLM land with a clean porta john. The lot isn't very level. However, there is a very level spot right at tge edge of the lot at it's border running Parallel to the beautiful walking trail. Great view of the lake and Kanab. Literal minutes to everything you'd need in town. We stayed 4 nights. Loved it.

Great spot for the night. It was quiet, just a few people walking/biking in the evening and only a few cars came in and out. One other van parked near us for the night. There was a clean, non-smelly porta pottie in the parking lot as well which was nice. Make sure you don’t try to park up by the small building at the reservoir because overnight parking isn’t allowed there.

Camped here for a weekend night. No other cars. Spacious and easy to navigate with 2WD, though very bumpy and on an incline so hard to find a flat spot. Was the only car there, though a few cars stopped by in the evening. Quiet besides a truck that drove by and was shooting paintballs(?) at the road with a high beam flashlight.

Report Check-In

Great spot to camp here, spacious, easy to drive to with a 2WD, quiet, overlooks the reservoir, trash can, portable toilet (or a toilet block just a short walk away to where the park is). There were a few of us parked here overnight with no issues. There is a 5k cycle path that goes all around the lake, great for a run, walk or cycle.

We stayed 2 nights ( RV) Nice place and calm. Nice view . You have to park in the gravel parking lot before the paved parking. Police make visit every night but they did not say anything.

Report Check-In

Now, it is written, no camping allowed, so we continued somewhere else

Beautiful views and clean bathrooms! Great spot!

Report Check-In

Great spot for an overnight. Busy place yet quiet and relaxing. Nice paved trail around part of the reservoir. Several other rigs near us. Friendly locals. Could see other rigs on the opposite side of the reservoir. Sheriff drove through in the morning and waved.

Great spot for some downtime in Kanab! Beautiful area, clean bathrooms, potable water (bring a hose), walking trail, Ramada with tables, grassy areas, disc golf course, sand volleyball, fishing, kayaking, even some crossfit type equipment in the playground to get a workout in.

We stayed in the parking lot but you can also park in the gravel area near the water. Pretty busy on the weekend, and parking lot was loud until about 11pm with kids partying. Sunday night was much more quiet earlier. Good cell service. Keep it clean and enjoy!

Very nice place to stay for the night. Super clean restrooms!

Report Check-In

Great spot! Very quiet and out of the way, but just a few minutes of town and with great Verizon LTE. Had a water spigot and actual bathroom which was real nice. Was just me and one other rig, there's not a ton of room for spacing out for a bunch of rigs. Hopefully this place gets well taken care of by campers because it's a treat that the city allows this!

Report Check-In

Great spot. Quiet with beautiful views and good cell signal for both Verizon and T-mobile. Also a paved trail for disc golf, but also great for walking the dog!

Report Check-In

The GPS directions took me to the built out site that another review mentions (paved with bathrooms) but I walked down the bike path to find where the actual coordinates were pointing & found my way over there for the night. (I ended up staying a 2nd night but at the built out location since a rodeo was impeding me from getting back to the original spot!) Both locations were fine - cell service was great & it was nice to have bathrooms the 2nd night...

Report Check-In

I think this may have undergone new development since the first listing. there is a paved parking lot and popular bike trail so it's not very wild but has bathrooms open all night and no overhead lighting. a state trooper pulled in in the morning and didnt say anything. a few mosquitoes but not bad at all in August 2020.

Report Check-In

Nice location near the reservoir. Lake and cliff views. Beautiful sunset.
No amenities.
Perfect LTE connection with T-mobile.
Although, be aware of the mosquitoes.

Very good place with no noise. Just 10 min for the lottery of the Wave.

Report Check-In

We stayed a night. The view was amazing and there was running hot water in the restrooms. Amazing in this cold!!!

Report Check-In

Drove in late. Being so close to the water, there were LOTS of small flies/gnats immediately attracted to our interior car lights.

Report Check-In

A large pullout overlooking the reservoir. About a mile from 89A. Nothing fancy but quiet and we felt safe. Spent one night.
