Not a legal camp. You must hike at least 1 mile in to BLM property to camp legally

Report Check-In

We slept for one night at this place. During the day there are lot of cars because it is the start of a trail but in the evening places are freed. There were 5 other Van / RV in addition to us! Very good place for one night

Use directions to Salt Creek Trailhead.
Parked here for 2 nights. Short drive to the brewery in town. Nice area to hike. Cars begin to show up to hike around 7am

Report Check-In

Quiet, no sign , nobody bothered us, pretty hot at 8 am.

Dirt lot at the end of a residential street up from the Highway that was right in someone's back yard, pretty much. According to the "locals" the property the lot is on is not actually BLM land, it's a privately-owned easement, and the BLM land does not start until you are passed the gates, which are about a half-mile walk into the BLM. That area is also closed to vehicles due to it being an designated environmental area of critical concern. I guess the story is that BLM's only Sequoia Trees in all of the US are located here and heavily protected. After learning all this, I was directed to the Hideaway Trailer Park, which was a relief to get wifi since there was no phone service in town.

Fantastic spot outside of Sequoia. One other campervan joined us after we arrived and it was just the two of us. There is a small gate to enter the trail that says camping is allowed past the gate. So you’d think people would have to park their cars overnight in this area. We debated staying at one of the multiple turnoffs around Lake Kaweah but we were turned off by all the negative reviews. We did not notice any signs that said no camping around the lake.

Report Check-In

Cute spot, relatively small. Camping definitely allowed, but needs a permit for any fire.
Right now trees are blooming and smell extremely good. Lots of Mosquitos.
From 7 in the morning on people were coming to walk their dogs, pretty busy.

Report Check-In

Quiet gravel parking lot at trail head, ideal for an overnight stay.

Report Check-In

Nice little spot, I was the only one here. Came in late, someone’s dog kept barking until I was in my car, lights off. Definitely want to be more on the stealth side. Hikers/joggers started showing up at 6:30 in the morning. I went for a little hike. No Verizon cell service

I believe I fixed the wrong coordinates on this post so it should take you to the right location now. Drive down Skyline Trail until you get to dead end at the gravel parking lot. Safe and quite place to spend the night. BLM land, allowed to overnight. Lots of cars parked here during the day from people using the trail.

Report Check-In

I could not find this place… coordinates took me to the rear of someone’s property.

Report Check-In

Stayed 1 night (on a Saturday) and had 1 other schoolie with us. Pretty unlevel but doable for a night. Definitely feels like you’re in someone’s yard because there are 2 gates that you should avoid blocking. Woke up early with 4-5 cars parked beside us for hiking the trail.

Report Check-In

We stayed here 1 night. We were the only van/car.

Report Check-In

We stopped but did not stay. The parking lot is not on blm land and you kinda are in peoples backyards.

Report Check-In

As described. Small parking lot at a trail head. probably too small for a large rig. We are a 20 foot long class C and felt that if we were any bigger, we'd block the lot. One other van was camped here, it was quiet. Good for just an overnight. coordinates are incorrect but the instructions about following skyline road easily got us there.

Report Check-In

Very quite place. Space is a little smal for a 28 feet RV, but it is going.

Report Check-In

Follow the signs for Skyline Drive untill the road ends on a gravel parking lot. BLM land - free to overnight. No amenities.

This is the trailhead for the Skyline Trail. It is open. Don't follow Google maps directions, you have to turn on Skyline Dr to get here. Go through the residential area and it dead ends. It is BLM land. Case Mt is a mt biking trail but I haven't been able to figure out if this is the same trailhead or not.

Report Check-In

Parking at trailhead on BLM lands for Case MT. This trail has signs that it's ok to tent on the trail and was able to stay here the night in my Jeep. Someone else posted a similar site and I believe this was what they were going for but their GPS was off. It took a little driving around to find it, but well worth it after spending the day in the park and leaving after sunset on Moro Rock Trail. That's not to be missed BTW

No trespassing signs all up on the road to this so turned around. Maybe coordinate wrong?

Report Check-In

Small parking space for about 8 cars. Start of a one hour loop hike. We stayed one night and had no problems. You are allowed to tent camp in the park so people would need to leave their cars here overnight. Near residential area. Not for tents but you could walk a while into the park. There is a map which says where you can camp. There is also a sign which says they hope to improve the parking lot and add toilets.
