Something not right?

Description

Our experience isn't really good but I'll try to remain objective because I don't think the place is actually bad. Our RV (7.3 idi diesel) suddenly had a bad rod and crankshaft, big deal. Luckily, the parts were available from Bogotá, still it took a week to reach. Then they worked slowly on rebuilding the engine (about a week) and re-mounting it(almost a week as well). Then a new problem appeared : a deep cloud of blue smoke coming from the exhaust and other less critical problems too.
One week, the issue isn't yet solved and I decided to leave to Barranquilla at a workshop where they're specialised in diesel.
They're not bad, they're coastal... Their style of working doesn't have any standard, still they are capable to fix plenty of things, but I would avoid expecting big issues to be fixed smoothly here, so be careful. Best is go to Barranquilla that seems to have a much better reputation than cartagena for mechanics.
