Description

The turn-out is down USNEM 500, just before Willis Canyon Trailhead. Camping is free, but you need a permit (from the Cannonville Visitor’s Center or any trailhead in the Grand Staircase Monument).

All the campsites are quiet and nice, but the third campsite has wonderful views of Bryce.

Nice spot with great views! Plenty of wood around. Like others we are camped at the 3rd site down. Friday night only one vehicle has passed by. Great hiking at Willis Creek Slot close by and a deeper gorge to hike a mile or so after Willis Creek trailhead.

Report Check-In

Beautiful and secluded spot with great views over Bryce. Three bars with Verizon. Easy to access with our 2wd van conversion.

Report Check-In

Spectacular views, very quiet. Road in wasn't difficult but would recommend 4x4. Plenty of space for a few fourbies if you bring friends.

Awesome several spots off dirt road 530. We stayed 4 nights at the 2nd spot and saw only a handful of people drive by. Only about 1 mile from the wills canyon slot canyon.
We made it in dry conditions in our Transit van. The road is very steep at the beginning but our van did fine. Awesome views of Bryce!

Report Check-In

Quiet. Near Willis Creek trailhead. Bumpy road in some spots. 4x4 recommended

Report Check-In

Stayed at the 3rd campsite down, north side of the road, unmatched views. If you have high clearance, drive Willis Creek Road down towards Bryce and you can get close enough to backdoor hike into the park. Willis Creek slot canyon is very accessible, great in and out hike, Bull Valley Gorge is a good bit more difficult.
