Description

What a perfect place. Lot of space (lot of people during the day) and quiet night. Restrooms and pit toilet when restrooms are closed (i think city put off pit toilet when it begins to snow). Beautiful park and nice café. Slept 3 nights with no issue, even Saturday night. Please respect this spot, it’ s so rare, And don’t park under the ONLY sign saying « P 4hr » (RV did it, even though parking was empty)

No wifi and bathrooms open 7.30am-9pm.

Empty your bladder before coming here if arriving late. Washroom open 7:30am to 8:30pm. There is an outhouse next to the washroom which is also closed and locked. I arrived at 9pm and really needed to pee :(

Report Check-In

Decent spot to stay; level, quiet and dark. No wifi and bathrooms open 7.30am-9pm.

Report Check-In

Great gravel parking with public washrooms. Some grass with picnic tables too. Other campers and vans were staying with us. No problem at all to sleep. Leave no trash please.

Report Check-In

Great spot for a big city! Busy during the day but quiet during the night!

Report Check-In

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT spot. We arrived at midnight and there was plenty of space. There were a few other RV / van which made us feel better about our choice. Was quiet. Please take care of this place. It's a jewel in such a large city. Be respectful so other van travelers can enjoy in the future. :)

Report Check-In

Large parking lot next to a beautiful park by the river. Easy place to bike to the city center along the river. Busy until late evening with live music from a bar nearby. The police parked close to us in the evening but no one bothered us. The toilets were very dirty.

Report Check-In

Belle place. Près de piste cyclable pour se rendre au centre ville. Près d'une hôpital. Ambulance à l'occasion.

Report Check-In

Large free parking; very busy during the day, but quite calm in the evening and at night; there are benches and washrooms (sign said 7.30am to 8.30pm, but at 11pm they were still open); ca. 20 min (by car) to get to Downtown

Report Check-In

Large level gravel parking g lot serving park and trail users. Busy until after dark due to restaurant/bar with entertainment schedule nearby. Relative lean bathrooms open til 8:30. Restaurant also good for meals, drinks, coffee. Access to trails for running, walking and biking is excellent. Downtown via the trails is 4 miles. Nice park across the nearby pedestrian bridge. There were about 4 other car/van campers there the evening I stayed, including one who had set up an outdoor shower. Great in town stop!

Report Check-In

Really lovely and very busy public park. Great access to the Bow River and decent wifi from the cafe. Parking is tough during the day but clears out at night. Bathrooms are open daily til 8:30. Very popular with bikers and river tubers. Super friendly vibe.

Nice large lot in front of a busy park. We stayed on a weekend night so the morning was full of joggers and bikers, but still very quiet and peaceful. 4 or 5 other rigs were parked here before we pulled up.

Parking lot near Bow Trail and Sarcee

this is a long rectangular gravel place, mostly quiet, no signs saying no overnight parking. No facilities.

Report Check-In

Great spot. We slep there one night, public toilets there too.
In the early morning a bit rush, many people came for activities.

Report Check-In

I stayed here 2 nights.
Not very quiet but i felt safe. There were many other people in their campervan. It gets very busy in the morning and therefore a bit loud…
Bus 1 will take you to downtown. Nice free parking to visit the city and go to Stampede.

Report Check-In

We stayed here for 3 nights. Very nice place with washrooms. We had breakfast once at Angel’s café and enjoyed it! There were 3-4 other RVs and vans each night. Nice cycling and running trail and parks.

Report Check-In

We stayed there one night, it was okay. There are bathrooms, garbage, picnic tables.

Report Check-In

Big lot, very busy during the day, quieter at night. Train goes by across the river occasionally. People start showing up pretty early. Washrooms were unlocked the whole night I was there. Bike path to downtown.

Report Check-In

Nous y sommes restés 5 nuits, la charmante propriétaire du café Angel est même venue nous voir pour savoir si nous avions besoin de quelque chose!
Nous recommandons fortement!

Report Check-In

Have been staying here for a few nights while visiting in Calgary. There's still a bit of construction at the main entrance, but everything is fully accessible. Currently, the first lot on the left is for staff, the parking lot on the right is for construction workers, and the bigger parking lot further down is for public use. There are washrooms there, open from 730a until 830p, and a few picnic tables beside the paths, behind the washrooms.

It's decently quiet and empty at night, but in the morning you may wake up to a full parking lot by around 7/8a.

Ohh, and the best part, few wifi! and it's pretty good too!

Report Check-In

Theres construction at the entrance and the sign says do not park but we decided to stay since we didn’t have anywhere to go and it was late. There are a few other cars though so it must be still okay to stay here. Wifi works too.

Dans un stationnement, avec vue sur la rivière lorsqu'au parc juste à côté.

Report Check-In

huge parking lot had no problem sleeping there was the only one that night
they are doing work at the entrance but doesn't affect the rest of the parking

Report Check-In

Grand stationnement. Les gens viennent y faire de la marche ou du vélo. Tranquille la nuit. Super spot en ville. Toilettes ouvertes à 7h30.

Report Check-In

We stayed 3 nights (in and out) there but the last night we got a girl trying to break into our van while we were sleeping. We left in the middle of the night as she kept coming back and we didn’t feel safe. Otherwise great spot with toilets, running water and wifi.

Report Check-In

Nice little lot right by the river, but it completely emptied out apart from us on a Friday night.

Report Check-In

stayed here over a week without any problems
since the 14th of march there is also wifi available at this spot
the washroom opens at approximately 7:30 am and closes at 8:30 pm

Report Check-In

Great overnight spot. Nice view of the Bow River. We pulled in at night and felt safe seeing 5 or so RVs and vans parked there already. The lot was full by the morning with commuter parkers and traffic noise was fairly loud by 7 am. Public washrooms close at 8:30 pm. Angel's cafe is in the lot and a must try for breakfast!

Report Check-In

Big parking lot next to the road. But also river work out ground and biking, running trails. Little bit noisy.

Report Check-In

very quiet place at night, other than the road nearby but that goes pretty standard doing this in towns. There was a couple small RVs and two Caravans counting myself so overnight is without a doubt allowed

Report Check-In

Big carpark. Arrived around 5pm and there were a few parks but the lot quickly cleared out by nightfall. No issues staying here one night, walked along the river and got up and had a coffee at Angels Cafe right at the doorstep! Great coffee!! Only downside is that the bathrooms get locked at night so make sure you take advantage of them before they close.

Report Check-In

Una noche aca, a 8 km aprox del downtown. Muy comodo y cerca del rio

Report Check-In

Decent spot for one night and legal (no "no overnight" signs or signs to restrict parking at all). We stayed with our 24ft RV, there is one sign that says no trucks/big rigs in lot so we parked parallel on the road in with no issues. You can drive through the lot to turn around. Best to arrive late afternoon/evening to get a spot as it fills up early as a commuter carpark.

Report Check-In

We stayed one night with our van in this huge parking.

Road not far but it’s quiet during the night.
