Very yummy food and goodies, very nice people. Absolutely worth the stop.
Report Check-InNice folks working. Lots of sweet treats for around $2000 CRC each. The gluten-free, vegan chocolate cake was amazing. Dog friendly.
Report Check-InGreat place for Overlanders who have not eaten white sausages with pretzels for a year or more 😁. The food is really excellent, the service team is very nice and Tom the boss is the best of all! He knows everything about Costa Rica and is happy to assist especially European travelers with help or information (all others too of course 😉). The rates are NOT higher than in most other places of Costa Rica and Tom’s place is definitely worth a visit. The selection of breads and sweets is very good too. Real dark bread like at home - how long have we missed it! Highly recommended!
Report Check-InGerman bakery with pricy meal but it’s nice to treat yourself;) (vegan option)
Also they sell some vegan cheese and vegan sausage
we know that some Suisse people don't like Germans.
we are Germans and travell since 3 years with our motorhome through South America. We are happy that the bakery has exklusiv German bred and Brezel. Also the Gulasch and the Leberkäs is original.
we saw the sandwiches and they looked very delicious.
OK. it's not pricy but worth every colones.
Don't mis that experience!
Report Check-InFun bakery, o parking but we just pulled the bikes to the side of the road. Very nice people inside.
Report Check-InMeatloaf, Cervelat and Weisswurst are delicious, but neither the breads nor the pastries are what you expect from a real German Bakery.
Report Check-InWe arrived at a Saturday morning and enjoyed a good coffee and delicious apple-cinnamon rolls! The staff is very friendly and motivated and we had a nice talk with Tom, the owner. Good and fast wifi by the way. :)
Opening hours: Monday-Saturday 8am-4pm
It was okay, but not as good as we expected. Coffee was very weak. The bread served with our meal was very disappointing for a bakery - it was dry and tasted at least a couple of days old. Not what we expected from an on-site bakery & for this reason I didn't buy any loaves to take away. Waitress was very nice and friendly. Good service.
Report Check-InWe ordered the day special. pricey yes but good enough. WiFi not good when we were there
Report Check-InHeure d'ouverture : 8:00 a 16:00 On est arrivé après 16h00 On retourne demain pour du bon pain frais. Il y a d'autres produits aussi À voir et déguster !
Report Check-Innice change of food
made some people at home jealous with the day special of different kinds of sausages.
bit pricey though
Perfect food, especially the "Wurstplatte" was absolutly worth it. The prices are normal for Costa Rica and not too expensive. Nice and friendly german owner. Recommended!
Report Check-InVery, very expensive, not worth it. Coffee was good, eggs were horrible. Pastries just ok, dry. Owner nice until I told him the eggs were not good then he was dismissively rude. I will not go back and cannot recommend.
Report Check-InGreat food! We also bought German bread. Really good and one of the main things we miss on our travels. Very cosy place, nice and friendly! We loved it!!
Report Check-InA must stop! We are from Bavaria and we can give the bavarian/german food there our full backing! 1000% authentic. Thomas also fixed us up with a mechanic, showed us the town and was overall just super friendly. Insane bread and german pastries!
Report Check-Innice staff. good wifi. i didnt eat here but did buy the sunflower bread and a strawberry cookie. so goood!
Report Check-Init was ok, I know many may like it and many will not. it's about 1800 roughly a pastry and you need about a gallon of water to wash down the German chocolate cake.
it wasn't really anything to write home about.
GREAT PLACE to eat real German food or pick up a good bread or something sweet...definetly NOT that expensive and Thomas, the german owner, is very helpful and friendly...just really a good place to be!!!
Report Check-Innice place _but_ very expensive. an erdinger costs some 4500 CRC, we paid over 70 USD for four meals plus one drink each.
Report Check-InReally nice food, and great beer, but extremely expensive- average main course for lunch is $14USD and 0.5L German beer is $9 USD baked goods are more reasonable though and the apple strudel is delicious
Report Check-Invery nice place, cool german food, nice guy! special place in CR :-)
