Argentina
Along the coastal circuit, what appears to be an established campground but without facilities. No one was around when we were there, so not sure if it is permanently or seasonally closed. Sites are nestled along a large rock, both facing towards and away from the ocean. Offers some shelter from wind. Sites have picnic table and fire pit. Cost was free since no one was around.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
It is as presented initially, nothing to add, really. In April l, stoll no-one around.
Lamp posts, but without bulbs.
Be aware of Google maps, it may lead you astray as it doesn't recognise most of the roads in the area.
A lot of good spots along the “Costanera”.
We arrived In the afternoon and there were many people around, but they left after the sunrise.
Even behind the rocks, really wind at night 😓
Sunrise stunning from the beach - wake up early and don’t miss this spectacle!
Great spot! The rocks blocked some of the wind during the day and fortunately no wind at night.
Report Check-InLeft the place because of the strong wind. Stand behind the cliffs with view to the sea.
A lot of rubbish there.
Sitio para acampar frente al mar, con fogones de leña, protección del viento por una gran roca, estuvimos solos por una noche, recoje tu basura si piensas quedarte aquí.
Report Check-InWe drive this road the day after a thunder storm so there were mucky sections and since it was getting dark we decided to stop rather than chance getting stuck in the dark. No cell reception. Nice views and lovely ocean sounds.
Report Check-InWe were alone here and could use a super windcovered site behind the cliff with view to the sea. Some trash around but a perfect place for overnight! Still for free.
Report Check-InPerfect place to stop for the night, with plenty of picnic sites to choose from. Looks like it would be pretty busy in the summer months but we had the place to ourselves which was unexpected for a Saturday night.
Report Check-InAwful road for motos !!! Avoid if it has been rainning. I fell over and over. It's sticky sand. It took me an hour to get out of it.
Report Check-InThe view is really nice. We were here on weekend. At the afternoon to evening came some families, but they all left about sunset. The rock offers very good wind protect from several direcctions. We found a cave at low tide, which was quiet away from other guests. The spot has neither traffic noise nor light pollution. The absolut starry sky over the beach is breathtaking!
Report Check-InWorth a detour off Route 3 for the incredible cliff face of fossilized shells of all shapes and sizes. Come on low tide and get up close with likely millions of years of history. We also spotted a couple of penguins! Quiet and mostly wind-free site to stay overnight for free and wake up to the sounds of the ocean. To get to the start of the circuito costera, go into Puerto San Julian, follow signs for camino costera.
