Description
Beautiful Campground on the Vaalriver. 2 campsites with shade, electricity but no grass. Each campsite has its own ablution and kitchen. Ablutions neat and clean. Lodge has swimming pool. R200 per night.

Nice view of the river. Camping under trees.
Otherwise feels like a parking lot. Attached next to the lodge with a separate gate.
Couldn’t see any sink / tap to do dishes so I used the basin in the bathroom. The dirty water from the basin goes into the shower ..
The neighbour dogs are a nuisance / little barking dogs.
From 8 am they starting either vacuum cleaning all the rooms or leave blowing the lodge… Left 9.30 and they still haven’t finished.
It’s just okay for a stop over, but I would rather try one of the neighbouring places next time. There are plenty options along the river - just check google maps.
Report Check-InIt was Ok for overnight. But the place at this moment is very run down. They had big issues with flood, i understand it, but the toilet was really dirty and there wasnt even water to flush. We could use eletricity. We payed 250 for 2 and the car.

Right next to the river which has a great set up for fishing.
Price still 200 Rand for two person. Save place in the river. Very nice owner. From the terrace you have a nice view in the river.
No WiFi. Beware of the very "dangerous" dogs of the owner (4 small, very cute Yorkshires)!!!
