What a find! one street from Cedar , either street is great. Quiet except for the sound of roiling surf. :) No signs. No move on. First picture is the Myrtle street parking lot, and the second is the place where we stayed.

Closed! Officer came by after complaint called in by locals. No overnight. He was very kind and VER FIRM. Even with no signage stating illegal it’s the law. He will enforce with citations. Public parking 6am-10pm.

Great little public parking spot amidst all the private ones. Thank you contributors!

this was a great place to sleep! gorgeous sunrise and friendly locals. you’re right by what looks like a hotel but the parking is totally allowed. not the best view of the beach from the lot but very close to walk down to

Report Check-In

As advertised - quiet (aside from the ocean sounds!), safe and beautiful. Had no issues parking or from residents. They are finishing a build of a new place so not sure how that’ll affect overnight parking once there are people living there but for now it’s absolutely a great spot. Just a mile from town and feet from the beach. At high tide the water is only like 20 feet from the van! (Don’t worry there’s dunes to block it). You can stay here or the other spot at the other end of the lot but I chose this one for the view and because the other spot already has a van in the space closest to the beach.

Great spot. Stayed 2 nights at Cedar, 1 night here. Check out massengale park right down the road if you visit. I highly recommend St. Simons island for a visit.

Report Check-In

Stayed here 2 nights over a 3 day period 11/15 and 11/17. Awesome quiet location with great sounds of surf crashing... Amazing evenings!

Report Check-In

Great spot right on the beach. Free parking. No amenities. Slept to the sound of crashing waves and woke up to a fantastic sunrise from bed.

Report Check-In

Stay here one night with no problems. Free white noise from the crashing waves.
